Celtic 3 -2 Rangers - Betting Round Up
Celtic extend their lead at the top of the Scottish Premier League to five points after today's Old Firm Derby.
It took Celtic just four minutes to take the lead at home against Glasgow rivals Rangers. Scott McDonald fired low from the edge of the area from what looked to be an offside position to open the scoring as their odds narrowed to [1.3].
In what was to be a topsy-turvy match it was Rangers who began to dominate proceedings and were rewarded on 17 minutes when David Weir headed home from a Steven Davis corner. Just over ten minutes later it was exactly the same scenario once again, Davis corner, headed goal only this time it was Daniel Cousin who put Rangers in front and a price of [1.94] on Betfair.
As half time approached McDonald got his second for Celtic with a shot on the turn from 16 yards taking a deflection off Dailly and looping over Neil Alexander's head. 2-2 at the break as the draw traded at [1.95]
The match swung from end to end in the second half but it was decided from the penalty spot in the 70th minute when Barry Robson sealed the three points for the green and white half of Glasgow. Celtic hit a high of [6.0] when trailing 2-1.
Rangers still have three games in hand despite back-to-back Old Firm derby defeats but they now turn their attention to their UEFA Cup semi-final second leg on Thursday against Fiorentina where they are trading at [6.2]
