World's richest club dumped out of FA Cup by Nottingham Forest, last gasp equaliser earns big priced draw at Bridge and holders held...
Nottingham Forest were matched at [11.5] before they knocked Manchester City out of the FA Cup with a comprehensive 0-3 win at Eastlands Stadium.
£6 was matched on the sensational scoreline at [420.00] and new Forest manager Billy Davies will have been delighted with the performance from his new charges. Nathan Tyson put the visitors ahead in the first half and Robert Earnshaw added a second shortly before half-time. Beleagured City manager Mark Hughes' efforts to rally his troops in the second-half came to nothing as Joe Garner scored Forest's third with 18 minutes remaining.
The other major shock of the day came at Stamford Bridge where Southend, having trailed Chelsea for most of the game, earned a draw, which was backed at [36.0], through Peter Clarke's injury time equaliser. 1-1 was matched at [55.0].
An eventual game saw Derby County touch [19.0] as they came from 2-0 down to eventually defeat non-league Forest Green Rovers 3-4.
Stoke City were the other Premier League casulties as they crashed to a 2-0 defeat away to Hartlepool United. The Monkey Hangers, for whom subsitute David Foley scored a 25-yard screamer, were matched at [4.6].
Premier League strugglers West Bromwich Albion will face a replay against Darren Ferguson's Peterborough after the Posh came from a goal down to earn a [9.6] draw. Cup holders Portsmouth Town also face a tricky third round replay against Bristol City after they were held to [4.3] matched 0-0 draw at home to Bristol City.
Non-league Torquay United sprung the other surprise of the day as they were matched at [4.2] as they defeated Championship club Blackpool 1-0.
Arsenal, Everton, Fulham, Middlesborough and West Ham United are all in the hat for the fourth round draw while Hull and Newcastle drew 0-0 in the all Premier League tie of the day.
