Fernando Torres finally found the back of the net for Chelsea
"Roberto Di Matteo has overseen four straight wins since taking over from Andre Villas-Boas."
It was a good day for the Anfield club who got past Stoke and enjoyed a favourable draw
Liverpool are the new [3.35] FA Cup favourites with Betfair customers after getting the best of this afternoon's draw. The Reds, who beat Stoke 2-1 at Anfield today, will play either Everton or Sunderland at Wembley in their semi-final. The Toffees and the Black Cats will replay their last eight match-up at the Stadium of Light on March 27.
The other semi-final will see Chelsea taking on the winner of the re-arranged Tottenham v Bolton quarter-final, after the Blues cruised past Leicester.
The Foxes were routed 5-2 by the Blues to round out a good week for interim manager Roberto Di Matteo, who has overseen four straight wins since taking over from Andre Villas-Boas. And there was more encouragement for Chelsea fans after much maligned striker Fernando Torres made a rare appearance on the scoresheet with a double.
In an amazing finish to the match at Stamford Bridge, four goals were scored in the last quarter of an hour to see some massive prices matched on the Betfair markets - over 6.5 goals trading at [100.0] and the 5-2 scoreline at [130.0]. Chelsea trade at [3.7] to win the Cup.
The status of Spurs' abandoned quarter-final is still in the balance. Fabrice Muamba collapsed on the pitch at White Hart Lane with a cardiac arrest, and remains in a critical condition at the London Chest Hospital. Spurs are [4.2] to win the Cup, Bolton [44.0].
At Anfield, Luis Suarez opened the scoring only for former Kop favourite Peter Crouch to equalise. The match then witnessed something rarer than a Torres goal for Chelsea - Stewart Downing getting on the scoresheet in the Liverpool shirt.
