There was a come-from-behind win for Liverpool over Everton in the FA Cup whilst Manchester City looked like the side that took the Premier League by storm at the start of the season, as they romped to a 6-1 win at Carrow Road.

Two of Liverpool's villains this season game good this afternoon as Kenny Dalglish's team knocked Merseyside rivals Everton out of the FA Cup. Luis Suarez, banned for eight matches after being found guilty of racially abusing Patrice Evra, equalised for the Reds after Nikica Jelavic opened the scoring for Everton. And as the minutes ticked away it was Andy Carroll, who has spent most of the season on the bench after his big move from Newcastle last January turned into a nightmare, who scored the winner. Suarez was backed at [3.6] on Betfair to score at anytime, Carroll at [4.8].

Everton started the strongest at a packed Wembley and deservedly took the lead, albeit as a result of some calamitous defending, but faded in the second half, handling their rivals the initiative. The Reds had drifted to odds of [10.0] to win the game in 90 minutes before Suarez's equaliser' they were backed at [13.0] to win 2-1 and touched [40.0] to be behind at half-time, only to be winning at full-time. They now have the chance to win two domestic cups in a season which would arguably make the campaign a successful one, despite their disappointing showing in the league. They will play either Chelsea or Spurs in the final, with the Betfair market finding the two very hard to split ahead of tomorrow's semi-final.

Over in the Premier League, Manchester City were back to their very best as they demolished Norwich 6-1. There were some nervy moments when a plucky Norwich side pulled one back to make it 2-1 after going two goals down but once Carlos Tevez made it 3-1, the floodgates opened and it was only a case of how many they'd score in the end. Sergio Aguero scored his second of the day to make it 4-1, Tevez completed his hat-trick to make it five and substitute Adam Johnson rounded things off very late on. City did actually touch [1.8] on the match odds market whereas Tevez was backed at [7.6] to score two or more goals with Aguero backed at [6.8] to achieve the same feat. City are now [5.0] to win the Premier League, a considerably shorter price than they were last Sunday ([40.0]) before they'd won two in a row and United had lost at Wigan.

Blackburn's misery continues and they're now just [1.3] for the drop after a comprehensive 3-0 loss at Swansea, a result matched at [28.0], with the straightforward home win backed at [2.38].

Sunderland will be disappointed to have drawn 0-0 against near-relegation certainties Wolves. The goalless draw was matched at [20.0] and an unlikely Wolves clean sheet at [8.6]. Wolves are unbackable at Betfair to go down.

QPR would have loved to have got a win this afternoon after their impressive victory over the aforementioned Swansea in midweek. But it wasn't to be and they succumbed to West Brom by the single goal, the 1-0 matched at [11.5]. Still, other results mean that QPR are odds-against for the drop at [2.12], having traded as low as [1.25].
