"The Albion have just appointed a masseur to the backroom team. However, they could do
with an alchemist as manager Russell Slade has just 16 fit players to choose from. They have
loads of suspensions and injuries, and are concededing goals left, right and centre."

League One lover Al Dudman picks out his best bets for another weekend of action.

I was on the Northern Line the other day and had the misfortune to be sitting next to a fairly well known actor/comedian on my way through Camden Town. Now, I am not a particular fan of the actor/comedian in question, however, it seemed his army of hangers-on were.

Anyway, to cut to the chase, the actor/'comedian' proceeded to tell his herd how he was beginning to mature and develop as an actor and was getting the roles he deserved and how good he was. I muttered something under my breath with a few expletives, but it goes to show you, you must always have faith in your ability, keep the confidence levels up. And despite some horrible results thus far, I am attacking this weekend's fixtures with the same verve as I did last year.

However, after the last week, expletives really ought to be justified.

Millwall have been in the news this week after their Carling Cup tie at West Ham. The Lions
return to League One action and may still feel a bit shellshocked after some of those
horrendous and appalling scenes in east London.

Kenny Jackett's side are trading at [1.8] at home to Brighton [5.4] this Saturday, and
are going well. They played really well over 90 minutes against the Hammers, but extra-time
eventually took its toll in that red-hot atmosphere. My worry would be they had a very tough
game, but in short, Millwall should have too much ammunition for Brighton.

The Albion have just appointed a masseur to the backroom team. However, they could do
with an alchemist as manager Russell Slade has just 16 fit players to choose from. They have
loads of suspensions and injuries, and are concededing goals left, right and centre.

Their last two games have been a bit crazy, but the Albion have a good record travelling
to Bermondsey. I can't go with that. And with Milwall not conceding a goal so far in three
home games - should be organised enough to shut out the visitors. I am not a lover of
backing odds-on so some correct score line plays should be the way to go.

Recommendations: Back Millwall to win 1-0 [7.90] and 2-0 [7.65]

Huddersfield have been involved in two goal-crazy games, either side of last weekend's
poor 1-0 defeat to Bristol Rovers. Their thriller at Newcastle on Wednesday night shows
how capable this side is of scoring goals... just not at Bristol Rovers when I back them.

Terriers boss Lee Clark admitted he got it wrong tactically against The Gas. His 4-5-1
failed to deliver any service to Jordan Rhodes up front, thus producing long aerial balls
over the ball players with not much joy.

Clark I think, learned a valuable lesson in trying to tweak things too much just because
you are away from home. They have two terrific forwards and some excellent ball players
in the middle, and I guarantee they will use them more this Saturday.

Huddersfield are [1.61] to beat Yeovil Town [5.80], this weekend. Yeovil are a different
side this year under Terry Skiverton, different in the sense they are far more open then
ever before.

Yeovil could have scored six last Saturday at Orient, they won't here, but I will be
amazed if there weren't a few goals in this. There isn't too much fat on the bone in the
outrights, with roughly the same price available on the overs market.

Recommendations: Huddersfield v Yeovil, back over 2.5 goals @ [1.7]

Southampton have yet to record a league victory and are still in minus points. Things could be better for Alan Pardew's side.

Striker Gregorz Rasiak is reportedly leaving this week, a catalyst for Pardew to get some out before he can get some in. They are [2.48] this weekend travelling to Stockport County, and this will probably be the only time you will see that price in a match between these two.

The Saints are gradually looking a bit stronger, more organised and defensively better. Losing Graeme Murty to a knee injury against Birmingham was a blow, but against
Stockport, the really should be able to get a result.

Recommendations: Back Southampton to beat Stockport @ [2.50]

Weekend best bets:

Back Millwall to beat Brighton 1-0 [7.90] and 2-0 [7.65]

Huddersfield v Yeovil, back over 2.5 goals @ [1.70]

Back Southampton to beat Stockport @ [2.50]
