Total Goals Guys
Total Goals Guys: Limited selection of games will not stop us gambling!
Just three matches for the boys this weekend
Last weekend went like clockwork. With the balance at £80.36 we managed to grow it by £31.62 with 3 carefully thought out trades, risking no more than 60% of our betting bank in the process.
This weekend Bayern Munich and Rangers are in domestic cup action and with no league fixture for Chelsea this, for the second week on the trot, leaves us with little to chose from.
None the less we endeavour to continue the recent run of success and we will attempt this initially this weekend with an anti-football lay of four goals or more at The Emirates where Reading are the visitors this Saturday lunch-time. Arsenal are out of the championship race and with nothing besides second place to play for the pressure is off. The visitors on the other hand have been hauled into a relegation battle after last weeks home defeat to Fulham. Manager Steve Coppell only gave his goalkeeper pass marks from that performance and there will certainly have been some soul searching for The Royal in the build up to this one.
We anticipate a backs to the wall performance from Reading here - they certainly need one. Only Derby have conceded more away goals this season but here there are against a side who, as irresistible as they were earlier in the season, have only managed 10 goals in their last six home games with three of these against a Newcastle side who were in ruins at the time in the early days of Kevin Keegan's reign. The threat of relegation is a huge motivator, at this stage last year West Ham were in a similar position and came away from Ashburton Grove with a 1-0 victory. We don't expect Reading to win this one but we dont expect many goals. You can lay four goals or more in the Total Goals Market at [2.99].
Surely only an almighty collapse will prevent Manchester United from retaining their Premiership crown. What a massive lift Emile Heskey's late equaliser at Stamford Bridge must have given them on Monday evening and now a usually tricky visit to Ewood Park isn't quite as daunting. Last years 1-0 triumph was the Red Devil's first league win here since a 3-1 win in April 1998 and in the last six league meetings here the hosts boast three wins and two draws, a record which is up there with anyone else in the division. Last year aside Blackburn have always found the net at least once against United but with a goal average of just 1.29 goals per home game the drought may be set to continue. On the other hand Blackburn fans have seen a total of 15 goals in their last six outings and with United supporters seeing 18 in as many games we feel three goals or more is well worth backing here at [1.94].
Saturday night's Catalan derby is sure to be as fiercely contested as ever. Hosts Barcelona dropped two points on the road last weekend and now must surely win this game if they are to retain any hope of catching Real Madrid who now have a nine point cushion at the summit of La Liga. Goals are rarely far away in this encounter and after 16 games this term The Camp Nou is one goal short of averaging exactly three goals per game hence the slightly skinny [1.84] on offer for three goals or more. Visitors Espanyol have enjoyed an encouraging season, they have been inconsistent recently but 21 goals in 16 away ties suggests they can cause problems to a Barca defence that have leaked six goals in their last four outings. Espanyol have conceeded nine goals in their last four matches without reply - how often have we seen a side go into a derby on such a low before suddenly sparking into life? Surely there are goal in this tie!
Twenty per cent of our balance (£22.39) is being exposed on each of our three selections.
