The "Total Goals Guys" are more than happy to pass on Christmas dinner and presents in favour of plenty of goals - here are their selections...
Statistically crowds are down for the last shopping weekend before Christmas. We don't however see many Gooners or Spurs fanatics giving up the North London Derby at The Emirates on Saturday in favour of the high street. Form wise Tottenham are only 2 points off Arsenal over the last 6 games and go to Ashburton Grove in good spirits following a morale boosting Cup win at Man City in mid-week, ending a 100% unbeaten record for the hosts in the process. It was a sign the White Hart Lane side are improving and we fancy them to score on Saturday. Arsenal always score at The Emirates and they will be after a win here to prove they are beyond their recent blip. 3 or more is the pick at [1.82]
Celtic face a must win home tie with Hibernian on Saturday and we fancy a punt on 3 goals or more at [1.7]. The hosts are averaging 3 goals a game at home this season and despite only conceding once at home all season Hibs are well capable of putting that record to the test.
The visitors lie in 5th place at present but showed early season promise beating both Celtic at home and Rangers at Ibrox in the space of two weeks. Celtic's defence is coming under severe criticism after conceding 3 second half goals at Inverness on Sunday, surrendering a 2 goal lead, thus handing Caley all three points. Unless there is a vast improvement the visitors will get a handful of decent opportunities but the importance of a home win suggests we could see a few goals.
Rangers travel to 6th placed Aberdeen on Sunday which sees them take on the first of three tricky away ties over the festive period. 3 points would be a huge boost before trips to Easter Road next Saturday and Celtic Park on 2nd January. The hosts might be feeling the strain of Thursday's Uefa Cup tie with FC Copenhagen but are always up for the visit of Rangers.
There is no love lost between these sides and the atmosphere generated by a passionate home support should see Aberdeen put in their usual level of effort which we can vouch for as being very high. Goals are never far away from this fiery encounter and with Rangers away ties averaging 3 goals a game this season 2 or more looks a safe bet at [1.25].
There is an interesting price of [1.43] on offer for 2 goals or more in Chelsea's visit to Ewood Park this Sunday. The visitors haven't particularly been high scorers this season and are averaging just over a goal a game away from home. They are conceding as well however and when you consider Blackburn's last three home EPL games have seen the net bulge a total of 9 times, 2 or more isn't out of the question here and pretty good value.
Like in North London "good will" may not extent to quite every man in Barcelona on Sunday - Real Madrid's visit to the Camp Nou for El Classico is a fierce a derby as they come. Away supports are restricted to just a couple of hundred fans and it can be an intimidating experience for the visitors. Home advantage can be crucial in these ties and Barcelona will look on this to help aid their bid to pin back Real in the title race. It's a difficult one to predict but these games have had a decent number of goals over the last three seasons so we're playing is safe with a back of 2 goals or more at [1.27]
