Total Goals Guys
A good week will put us back in profit
The "Total Goals Guys" predict goals at Stamford Bridge but think West Ham's trip to Old Trafford may be a cagey affair with Cristiano Ronaldo and co concerned merely with winning the match rather than entertaining
Last weekend saw a 13% rise in the betting bank. It was a reasonably satisfactory set of results with at least the two we were after at both St Andrews and Stamford Bridge coming good.. We also got all three at The Bernabeu and we were only let down by another flurry of goals from Bayern Munich.
This week we are going against the goals and again we are going to lay 4 goals or more in a match featuring the Bundesliga giants from Munich. Bayern will certainly be on a downer having being thumped 4-0 by Zenit St Petersburg in Russia on Thursday night and they only require 1 point from 4 remaining league ties to wrap up the championship so we don't expect anything emphatic here. In 15 away ties there has been a total 35 goals, this averages 2.33 goals per game so we are fairly confident in opposing 4 goal backers as we lay at [3.2].
Manchester United are heavily odds on to beat West Ham United this weekend and can be backed in the match odds market at [1.21]. This suggests an easy victory is on the cards and if it wasn't such a crucial game at this stage of the season many would be steaming in. The only thing we are sprinting to get on however is a lay of 4 goals or more at [2.72]. We suspect that The Hammers may not just turn up and roll over in this one and how often do we see such strong sides chasing championships making life difficult for themselves at this time of the year?
Another game we fancy little goal action in is Celtic's trip to Motherwell on Saturday. The visitors now have a 5 point cushion at the top of the SPL but with title rivals Rangers having three games in hand it is important that Celtic get their points on the board and throw down the marker to UEFA Cup finalists as they aim to win 3 championships in a row. A recent fixture here ended 4-1 to Celtic but the magnitude of this one is greater this time; we expect more from Motherwell this time and we are, like last time, laying 4 goals or more in the total goals market at [3.65]
Chelsea face a tricky trip to St James Park on Monday afternoon as they aim to push Manchester United all the way in the Premiership title race. This is also a big test for Kevin Keegan however . As well as his side have been performing recently, there is obviously heavy scope here for throwing down a marker for next season. The manager will be saying to his players "go out and show me you can play for this club next season and beat teams of this calibre week in, week out". His side are scoring freely at present and there is no doubt they will definitely have a go at Chelsea. 3 goals or more in the total goals market is worth backing at [2.09]
With £88.65 and only one weekend of betting remaining after this we are close to churning out that much sought after profit for the season. By concentrating on the matches that actually mean something, hopefully we will get there!
