Betfair's brilliant app allowing customers with web-enabled Sony and Samsung televisions to bet in-play using their remote controls won an award this month for Innovation of the Year.

All Samsung owners have to do is press their internet key then add it to their favourites, while Sony users should hit the internet key then download it to their dock from the widget gallery.

In their review of the app earlier this year, The Sun said that "the system is responsive and does not distract from watching the match, it just adds to the experience".

It's not only punters with web-enabled tellies who can have fun betting while sitting on their sofas though - Virgin Media customers can play classic Roulette whenever they want by pressing the interactive button on their controls, selecting Sports and Betting and then Betfair Roulette.
