NFL Week 15 Tips: Cowboys can continue streak at Colts

Dallas Cowboys
Dallas could make it six wins in a row with victory against the Colts

Having won their last five games the Cowboys are one of the hottest team in football and Matthew Crist thinks they can make if six against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 15...

"The Dallas Cowboys are officially the hottest team in the NFL right now and they know that if they win on Sunday they will guarantee the NFC East title and a home playoff game in January."

Dallas to end Colts' run of good Luck

The Dallas Cowboys are the NFL's in-form team at the moment but if they are to maintain their hot streak they will need to overcome a Colts side who have far from given-up on their hopes of postseason football, making this clash one of the most eye-catching of the weekend.

With a five-game winning streak, the Dallas Cowboys are officially the hottest team in the NFL right now and they know that if they win on Sunday they will guarantee the NFC East title and a home playoff game in January.

However, Dallas will have its hands full with Colts QB Andrew Luck, who in his last three home games, has completed 78 percent of his passes for 925 yards, nine touchdowns and three interceptions.

This was proved against Houston last week, a team whose defence ranks 10th in passing yards as he threw for 399 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in a 24-21 victory, so it may well be a case of fire meeting fire and for that reason a narrow Dallas victory could be where the value is at 15/8 on the Sportsbook.

Houston can down Jets

The Houston Texans have won nine of their last 10 games after starting their 2018 campaign with three consecutive losses and though their nine game streak came to an end in Week 14 it's hard to see the New York Jets grinding out a win on Sunday.

The Texans have been victorious in each of the last three matchups between these two, but each game has been relatively close. In their last meeting, the Texans defeated the Jets 24-17 then 23-17, and before that the final was 20-16 in favour of Houston, but don't expect it to be that close this time around.

The Jets are 30th in the league for passing, and 30th in the league in total offensive yardage also, so it's hard to see where they will get any points from, especially against a Houston outfit which has relied on its defence for much of the season.

The Texans might not be pulling up any trees in terms of offence - they currently stand 12th in the league in total yardage and third in total rushing yards - but that should be more than enough to see them win by two touchdowns or more which is priced at 2/1 on the Sportsbook.

Acca of the Week

It's a four-fold this week, with the choices being: Baltimore (-8), Detroit (+2.5), Denver (-3) and New Orleans (-6.5) and is currently available at 14.43 on the Sportsbook.

Baltimore may have suffered defeat in Week 14 but still have plenty to play for and Tampa Bay shouldn't pose too much of a threat while poor Buffalo side have lost their last two games and there's little to suggest they can change that against the Detroit Lions.

The Denver Broncos had there recent two game win streak broken last week but will probably still be too good for a Cleveland team which has blown hot and cold all season and it's difficult to see New Orleans not winning by at least a touchdown against Carolina who have now lost five straight.

This isn't so much a case of fancying the pitiful Oakland Raiders to win, it's more a case of thinking an even more dreadful Bengals team will lose again in a a best-of-bad-bunch matchup.

The Raiders caused something of a stir by defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers last week, who were many people's picks for the Super Bowl this year, so an encounter with a Cincinnati side that seems unable to move the ball and score points on a regular basis isn't out of the question and is available at 13/10 on the Monelyline.

Long shot of the week

This anytime touchdown scorer five-fold is priced at 11.0 at the time of writing and features a quintet of players who have every chance of getting on the board this weekend: T.Y Hilton, Sony Michel, Todd Gurley, Lamar Jackson and Tarik Cohen.

Last week I tipped the Dolphins and Patriots to both score 4 touchdowns or more in the first half and fell agonisingly short by just one TD. So why not back both teams to score 4 touchdowns or more in each half in the Philadelphia v LA Rams game at 275/1?
