Arizona Cardinals @ Philadelphia Eagles
I like this game a lot. It could go either way but it has the right ingredients to be a great game. Although Arizona has the second best record in the NFL's best division, it only tells half the story. That record has been built using home field advantage. Away from the University of Phoenix Stadium they are 2-3, and a game outside in cold Philadelphia will be a big obstacle to navigate. Eagles quarterback Nick Foles will need his game face on if he wants to outsmart the Cards defence but with a very talented offence on his side he should manage to do that. Carson Palmer is now producing offence at a high standard but in Foles, the Eagles have better QB and have much more talent on offence.
Recommended Bet: Eagles @ 1.68
Chicago Bears @ Minnesota Vikings
Should be an exciting game as both teams could do damage to each other. The Bears will be going against the Vikings 29th ranked pass defence but Adrian Peterson should have his way with Chicago's run defence. Chicago has allowed 985 rushing yards in the last five games alone so expect A.P. to add to that. Both teams could be scoring upwards of twenty points each during this outing. I think that Bears quarterback, McCown is a bit more reliable than Ponder for the Vikings so I'll plump for the Bears to pick up the win after last weeks disappointment at St. Louis.
Recommended Bet: Bears @ 2.04
Jacksonville Jaguars @ Cleveland Browns
I think this one is a home banker although there could be an argument for a chance of an upset. The Jaguars showed a bit more bite last week when they run out winners against a poor Titans team. They are finally getting Maurice Jones-Drew involved in the games more and that could continue this week. As for the Browns, Brandon Weeden has really struggled in the last couple of weeks but things may turn for him during this game. It could go either way but I'm backing the home team to come out on top.
Recommended Bet: Browns @ 1.36
Miami Dolphins @ New York Jets
New York has been very poor over the last couple of game weeks, with offence being a particularly bad point. Geno Smith has really been struggling as of late and at times it can be hard to watch. In his last six outings he has managed just one touchdown and 10 interceptions. He is averaging two turnovers per game on his own and the Dolphins will look to capitalize on that. Both teams still have playoff aspirations despite both having a losing record. Only one can strengthen their cause this weekend and I'm backing the Dolphins to pounce on Smith's mistakes and get the win.
Recommended Bet: Dolphins @ 2.14
New England Patriots @ Houston Texans
This is going to be a big scoring game. The problem that Houston has is that most of the points will be under the name New England. Tom Brady will have a field day against a Houston team that looks like they have given up and are just looking forward to their holidays at the end of the season. With the Patriots coming off their overtime win against Denver last week some may think that they may be off the pace. Some might even say that it has trap game written all over it, but not me. The Patriots should win this game comfortably and score big. The game will be over by half time and then the Pats will continue to bring the noise in the second half scoring 35+ points.
Recommended Bet: Patriots @ 1.28
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Carolina Panthers
The Panthers are on a seven-game winning streak and the Buccaneers are on a three-game winning streak. One will lose that this weekend but who? Tampa Bay has a wealth of talent at their disposal and is looking good going into week 13. They have got some form going after their disastrous start to the season. On paper they could cause the Panthers a few problems. Unfortunately for the Tampa, games are not played on paper. It is going to take a slightly better team then they have to break the Panthers seven-game hot streak. The Panthers should boss all phases of the game being at home at Bank of America Stadium and by the end of the game should have made the win look easy. The only chance that Tampa has is if the young Carolina team loses focus and starts to think about next week's blockbuster match against the Saints.
Recommended Bet: Carolina @ 1.28
Tennessee Titans @ Indianapolis Colts
The Colts record this season is 7-4 but in their last six games they are 3-3. One of those wins was against Tennessee and they would hope for a repeat performance to keep the Titans at bay in the race for the AFC South. The Titans must attack the Colts offensive line, which has not been up to scratch in the pass protection area as of late. If they can get scores on the board early then they may have a chance. The Colts are not very trustworthy lately but they have been wrecked by injuries and are missing some big players. Fortunately they still have Luck on their side. Andrew Luck should have enough to make some big plays as the game goes into the last quarter to pick up the win.
Recommended Bet: Colts @ 1.63
Atlanta Falcons @ Buffalo Bills
This is a road game for both as they head up to the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada. Great news for Buffalo this week as both Stevie Johnson and Robert woods are back at practice. They would hope to build on last week's victory and try to get back some respectability. They are technically still alive for the playoffs but that isn't going to happen. The Bills do have more rush attempts than any other NFL team, which means they should have enough to expose the leaky front seven that the Falcons have. Matt Ryan has been under pressure this season and won't be getting an easy ride this weekend. The Falcons will get to see what running back Steven Jackson brings to the party but I don't see it having a massive bearing on this result. Bills to win against a miserable Falcons team.
Recommended Bet: Bills @ 1.62
St Louis Rams @ San Francisco 49ers
I expected much bigger things from San Francisco this season but that just hasn't happened. I thought they would kick on from their Super Bowl disappointment and become a force to be reckoned with. The best thing this season for the 49ers is their hard defence. St Louis' offence has been better than many thought it would be but against the 49ers they might just find things a bit too tough. The Rams are quick and talented and their run-heavy offence has helped to propel their offensive barrage but I can't see them getting much change out of the 49ers this weekend. If St Louis wins then they will pull to within one game of San Francisco. I just don't see it happening in the Niners backyard.
Recommended Bet: 49ers @ 1.29
Cincinnati Bengals @ San Diego Chargers
Cincinnati is by far the more talented team, but San Diego can be good if they can manage to keep games close. The Bengals only have one weakness and that is QB Andy Dalton. His performances haven't been up to any sort of decent standard but they are coming off a bye week and now have the chance to kick start their season and remove an AFC playoff hopeful from the equation at the same time. If Dalton can get his game right and the defence does its job as it has done for most of the season, then there should be no hiccups on the road for the Bengals. Chargers QB Philip Rivers is in hot form and returns home after tearing through the Chiefs last week. 392 yards and three scores is a pretty good return. This could be a shootout and if it does go that way then I'll back Cincinnati.
Recommended Bet: Bengals @ 1.98
Denver Broncos @ Kansas City Chiefs
The Broncos will be looking to bounce back this week after last weeks overtime loss to the New England Patriots. That was a bitter blow but they have the perfect way to remedy that loss and get back to winning ways and that is against Kansas City. The Chiefs' top pass-rushers are battling injuries so this should allow for Peyton Manning to take control of the game early and set the tempo that he likes to play at. The Chiefs secondary are playing below par and their decline will continue this weekend with the absence of Justin Houston and Tamba Hali. They have had a poor November and I doubt they will be able to match Manning score for score.
Recommended Bet: Broncos @ 1.45
New York Giants @ Washington Redskins
The Giants should have more than enough in the tank to dispose of a Redskins team that haven't really threatened any team this season. I don't think that the Giants are doing much better than their record of 4-7 suggests but they will be good enough to beat a struggling Washington team that are on a three-game losing run. It looks as though Washington has caved in this season and the talent of RG3 has not done enough this year to spark them into life. The Giants head coach Tom Coughlin will not allow his team to follow suit and will look to attack the Redskins leaky defensive secondary and pick up their fifth win in six weeks.
Recommended Bet: Giants @ 1.83
New Orleans Saints @ Seattle Seahawks
Monday night football has served up a treat as the Saints travel to the tricky Seahawks. Always a difficult place to go as the 12th man really makes a difference in Seattle. The Saints are the NFC's second-best team but they don't travel well and the Seahawks will be looking to continue their hot streak. Both teams have short quarterbacks and the duel should be fun to watch. Drew Brees should find it hard with Seattle being able to slow him down and exploit the Saints run defence while Russell Wilson should be able to protect the ball better. Seattle has a savage defence and an extreme running game which will prove too much for the Saints to handle.
Recommended Bet: Seahawks @ 1.43
