Cleveland Browns @ New York Jets
Not a lot at stake in this one between two teams already destined for a relaxing January. Geno Smith will attempt to impress to start as the Jets QB next year and Rex Ryan will be hoping the team does his job prospects a favour in their last home game. The Browns will be lacking both Haden and Cameron and have even less to fight for.
Recommended Bet: Jets @ 1.824/5
Dallas Cowboys @ Washington Redskins
NFC East showdown and a must win match for the Cowboys if they are to retain a chance at winning the division. They have suffered late game collapses in their last two and the loss to Green Bay was unforgivable. Against a Redskins team with nothing to play for and resting their marquee player another loss is unthinkable.
Recommended Bet: Cowboys @ 1.748/11
Denver Broncos @ Houston Texans
After the loss to the Chargers Peyton's Broncos will want to regain confidence and roll into the playoffs on a high, they will also want to claim the postseason home field advantage and if results go their way they could do that this Sunday. The Texans have endured an abysmal season, so much potential wasted.
Recommended Bet: Broncos @ 1.211/5
Indianapolis Colts @ Kansas City Chiefs
Two teams headed for the playoffs that could meet in a wildcard game, both teams need a win and other results to go their way if they are to gain a bye through the first round of the playoffs. At Arrowhead the Chiefs are rightly favourites, they have been putting up huge numbers recently and Jamaal Charles looks unstoppable.
Recommended Bet: Chiefs @ 1.384/11
Miami Dolphins @ Buffalo Bills
The traveling Dolphins still have a chance at an unexpected playoff birth but have to keep winning, they face two teams that are already out of contention in their last two regular season fixtures. Tannehill and Wallace are combining well and the win over the Patriots last week was a marker. The Bills will be without EJ Manuel and Stevie Johnson and most importantly motivation.
Recommended Bet: Dolphins @ 1.758/11
Minnesota Vikings @ Cincinnati Bengals
The loss to the Steelers last week was a set back for Cincy but they still have the initiative in the AFC North ahead of the chasing Ravens. At home they are unbeaten and always produce the points. The Vikings will try and avoid a winless road campaign and will welcome back Adrian Peterson.
Recommended Bet: Bengals @ 1.282/7
New Orleans Saints @ Carolina Panthers
Crunch time in the NFC South as the Saints battle the Panthers for the division and the second seed in the Conference, the rewards are huge. The Saints strolled passed the Panthers a few weeks ago in the Superdome like they do most teams but their away performances are a serious concern. Brees is nowhere near as productive out of the Big Easy and faces a Carolina defence that has the most sacks in the league. Expect Cam Newton to perform a lot better than he did in their last encounter between these two.
Recommended Bet: Panthers @ 1.594/7
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ St Louis Rams
Another two team that have nothing but reputation to play for but two teams that have shown marked improvements over recent weeks that bodes well for next year. The Rams impressive win over the Saints last week showed they are a force to be reckoned with in St. Louis. Robert Quinn is monstrous and will surely give Mike Glennon a rough ride and expect Zac Stacy to continue running straight through defenders.
Recommended Bet: Rams @ 1.51/2
Tennessee Titans @ Jacksonville Jaguars
Two more also-rans, this time both from the AFC South. The Jags say farewell to another tame season and it may be the last time star running back Maurice Jones Drew kits up in their uniform. Titans QB Ryan Fitzpatrick put up a 400yard game last week and still managed to loose but expect him to grab the road win this Sunday and cement his team the second place in the division.
Recommended Bet: Titans @ 1.4840/85
Arizona Cardinals @ Seattle Seahawks
Action from the NFC West as the Seahawks attempt to claim home field advantage through the playoffs and the Cardinals grip desperately to a chance of making it into January. The Cardinals are scoring heavy and have been in impressive form but Larry Fitzgerald got shaken up last week and may not appear. More importantly this is a home game for the Seahawks so you know what's going to happen.
Recommended Bet: Seahawks @ 1.21/5
New York Giants @ Detroit Lions
A painful last minute loss to the Ravens on Monday Night Football has put Detroit's chances of making the playoffs in serious jeopardy. They no longer are rulers of their own destiny and after such an impressive start to the campaign their season could crumble to disappointment. Turnovers and inefficient performances from their star players have both contributed, this Sunday they must make amends against the Giants who are in free fall and loosing their patience even with each other.
Recommended Bet: Lions 1.241/4
New England Patriots @ Baltimore Ravens
Suddenly the Ravens have come alive and with four straight wins they now challenge the Bengals for the AFC North. The Patriots are sitting pretty at the top of their division but still need one more win to get over the line, they have been less than impressive on the road and won't find it easy in Baltimore but the typical Patriots passing attack is starting to warm up despite the loss of Gronk.
Recommended Bet: Patriots @ 2.1411/10
Oakland Raiders @ San Diego Chargers
AFC West match up that the Chargers must win to retain any hope of sneaking into the playoff mixup. Three wins from four including a victory over the mighty Broncos shows that the Chargers have the potential for huge performances, if only they were consistent. They should have few problems against the Raiders.
Recommended Bet: Chargers 1.232/9
Pittsburgh Steelers @ Green Bay Packers
The Packers hold on just, two narrow wins have kept them in contention, but they must beat both the Steelers and the Bears over the last two weeks. Matt Flynn was superb last week but if Aaron Rodgers can suit up then the Lambeau faithful will welcome him back with a roar. More of a problem for the Steelers could be Running Back Eddie Lacy who continues to find holes. The Steelers still aren't quitting and have a chance of making it through to a wildcard spot but it's unlikely and after Sunday it won't be possible at all.
Recommended Bet: Packers @ 1.774/5
Chicago Bears @ Philadelphia Eagles
Two 8-6 teams battle it out in the late game as both teams try and clinch their divisions. Although it's not make or break for either team they would both like to get to a position to rest some starters in the final week if the seedings can't be affected. Chip Kelly's offence continued to perform but the defence was humiliated by the Vikes last week whilst the Bears welcomed Jay cutler back and grabbed a win over the Browns. The key could be Sean McCoy, he should enjoy his night against the leaky Bears front four.
Recommended Bet: Eagles @ 1.674/6
Atlanta Falcons @ San Francisco 49ers
MNF and a bit of a tearjerker as the Falcons travel to Candlestick. This game is all about the venue and depending on the result in Seattle this could be the 49ers' last ever game in the iconic stadium that has been their home since 1971. Of course they won't mess it up, easy win and an emotional farewell.
Recommended Bet: 49ers @ 1.162/13
