NFL Tipping Sheet: Week Six Previews and Moneyline Picks

Week 6 but no Pick 6 for Schaubb this Sunday...

Reuben Thomas takes a sneak peak at all the match-ups as NFL reaches week Six...

'the Texans will try and ease the pressure on their fragile QB and should win easy against a pretty average Rams road team.'

Carolina Panthers @ Minnesota Vikings
Sunday 18:00

The Panthers were woeful last weekend in Arizona and Cam Newton has no chance to perform with his current offensive line. The Vikings got their first win of the season in Wembley two weeks back and the offence looked good under Matt Cassel, he will likely start but will be aware that any poor performance will see recently signed Josh Freeman step in. Peterson never disappoints at home and Minnesota should take it.
Recommended Bets: Vikings @ 1.814/5

Cincinnati Bengals @ Buffalo Bills
Sunday 18:00

The Bengals are looking strong this year even though their offence is still playing with the handbrake on and AJ Green is yet to reach his peak. The win over New England last week proved they're for real. The Bills lack a QB and their usually effective running game can't be relied upon against the Cincy front line. The Bengals aren't wholly reliable away from home but this one they win easy.
Recommended Bets: Bengals @ 1.351/3

Detroit Lions @ Cleveland Browns
Sunday 18:00

The Browns have been surprisingly efficient this year and the defence looks tough but mistake prone Brandon Weeden comes back in as the starter this Sunday and the Lions' defensive line will come looking for him. The Detroit offence is hamstrung without Calvin Johnson so his availability may be the key, he plays, they play.
Recommended Bets: Lions @ 1.84/5

Green Bay Packers @ Baltimore Ravens
Sunday 18:00

Both these teams are coming off decent wins last week and it should be a close match up. The Packers start their month without Clay Mathews and that will seriously hurt their pass rush, with the ball Aaron Rodgers will keep the offence ticking over if he can avoid the attention of Suggs. The Ravens will be confident at home and Ray Rice will be heavily involved but expect the NFC team to take this one.
Recommended Bets: Packers @ 1.794/5

Oakland Raiders @ Kansas City Chiefs
Sunday 18:00

The Chiefs just won't quit winning, the defence is impregnable and Alex Smith's confidence grows each week, Jamaal Charles doesn't let up either. The Raiders got a surprise win last week but the elusive Terrelle Pryor won't have time to breath against the Chiefs especially in Kansas.
Recommended Bets: Chiefs @ 1.271/4

Philadelphia Eagles @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Sunday 18:0
The Eagles visit the winless Buccaneers in Tampa and will expect the victory whoever they are led by. Vick is a major doubt due to a hamstring complaint but Nick Foles will be eager to prove himself if given the nod. League leading running back LeSean McCoy may slow down as Tampa should at least be able to hold their own on defence but with the ball the Bucs look hapless, they have an inexperienced quarterback lacking targets so the 'Muscle Hamster' will surely be given a big workload, too big. Low scoring Eagles win.
Recommended Bets: Eagles @ 1.814/5

Pittsburgh Steelers @ New York Jets
Sunday 18:
A big win for the Jets on MNF over Atlanta gave them a positive record after five games. Geno Smith is still a work in progress, but progress he is making. The Jets defensive lines should absolutely dominate the Steelers and despite Big Ben's knack of shaking off pressure he'll be on the turf a lot. Le'Veon Bell showed promise in London and will aid the Steelers but is unlikely to find many wholes in this one but the Steelers don;t loose five in a row.
Recommended Bets: Steelers @ 2.1211/10

St Louis Rams @ Houston Texans
Sunday 18:00

The last few weeks have been a nightmare for Matt Schaubb, if he was performing poorly and giving up turnovers for an average team it would be less noticeable but he's doing it for a team that are potential division winners, it's getting embarrassing. It or he can't continue. It won't this weekend, the Texans will try and ease the pressure on their fragile QB and will win easy against a pretty average Rams road team.
Recommended Bets: Texans @ 1.3130/100

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Denver Broncos
Sunday 21:05

The Jaguars have a 26.5 head start on the spread! That should say it all, this is going to get really ugly unless Peyton and co. are feeling sympathetic. More big numbers for the Broncos offence to look forward to, this is one for the record books potentially. If I was John Fox I'd rest a lot of the starters once the game was sewn up, he probably will.
Recommended Bets: Broncos @ 1.021/50

Tennessee Titans @ Seattle Seahawks
Sunday 21:05

A huge performance from the Colts last week ended the Seahawks perfect start and showed they can be scored against. That loss will have angered Seattle and back from their travels they will want to put on a dominant performance. No team is stronger in their own home, it's a fortress and the Titans won't have the might to break it down.
Recommended Bets: Seahawks @ 1.162/13

Arizona Cardinals @ San Francisco 49ers
Sunday 21:25

Two 3-2 teams face off in the NFC West as the surprisingly impressive Cardinals roll into Candlestick. The 49ers have been going back to basics and relying on the run recently but the Arizona rush defence is rated as one of the best in the league so that should be a tough match up. Kaepernick was practically unemployed last week but may need to impose himself more this Sunday.
Recommended Bets: 49ers @ 1.222/9

New Orleans Saints @ New England Patriots
Sunday 21:25

Game of the weekend as the perfect Saints take on the Patriots at Foxborough. Drew Brees' offence is proving too hot too handle especially with giant tight end Jimmy Graham seemingly unplayable. The Patriots will have to try and outscore their opponents but Tom Brady will have to use all his nous as he simply doesn't have the weapons at his disposal he has previously relied on, the loss off Gronkowski to the New England offence is crippling them.
Recommended Bets: Saints @ 2.186/5

Washington Redskins @ Dallas Cowboys
Monday 01:30

Rarely has a quarterback and an offence played so well and lost as Tony Romo and the Cowboys did last week. Romo put up unprecedented numbers and Bryant and Williams were always open and making plays, the Dallas offence is a potent one. The 'Skins come off a bye and should be fresh and it may be about time that RG3 is unleashed to play his natural game, they'll accumulate a healthy points tally too but will it be enough. This big rivalry should go the way of the hosts.
Recommended Bets: Cowboys @ 1.412/5

Indianapolis Colts @ San Diego Chargers
Tuesday 01:40

Intriguing game as the Colts fly into San Diego to play the Chargers. Philip Rivers can burn any defence on his day and should find his targets but will be wary of the presence of new Colts star linebacker Robert Mathis who is almost in double figures in sacks already this season. Andrew Luck seems to only improve and managed to execute even against the swarming Seahawks last week. Trent Richardson needs to improve if his signing is to be seen as a success but if he can then the Indy offence may take them deep into 2014.
Recommended Bets: Colts @ 1.865/6
