NFL Tipping Sheet: Week Seven Previews and Moneyline Picks

Stafford should keep the Lions purring...

Reuben Thomas takes a glance at Week Seven in the NFL...

St Louis @ Carolina
Sunday 18:00

Big win for Sam Bradford and the Rams last week as they dismantled the Texans, they go looking for their third straight victory in Carolina this Sunday with Bradford starting to look like the real deal. The Panthers are unpredictable but some gutsy calls last week saw them claim a road win over Minnesota and they were unstoppable in their last home game. Barring another Bradford master class the Panthers should edge it.
Recommended Bet: Carolina @ 1.384/11

Buffalo @ Miami
Sunday 18:00

After such an impressive start the Dolphins lost their mojo with two straight losses but have now had a bye week to bandage their wounds. They must protect Tannehill if they are to stand a chance of getting back on track, the bad news is they face a nasty Bills pass rush that will be hunting from the outset. The rushing game of both teams will decide the winner.
Recommended Bet: Miami @ 1.3130/100

Chicago @ Washington
Sunday 18:00

Whilst the offence is delivering for Washington their defence seems unable to stop anyone and RG3's performances are fluctuating as he tries to find his form of last year. The Bears have looked strong and continue to churn out wins but their injuries are mounting and their defensive line is looking thin. Washington have won four straight against the Bears and it's about time the 'Skins delivered at home.
Recommended Bet: Washington @ 1.981/1

Cincinnati @ Detroit
Sunday 18:00

Two 4-2 teams meet at Ford Field. Cincy are proving a defensive juggernaut but Dalton still needs to prove himself. Stafford and the Lions are cruising, the passing game looks better every week and Calvin Johnson is slowly regaining his fitness. Rookie Tight End sensation Joseph Fauria caught three TDs last week and looks to be one of the finds of the year. Expect the Lions to roar at home despite the tough opposition.
Recommended Bet: Detroit @ 1.768/11

Dallas @ Philadelphia
Sunday 18:00

NFC East showdown as two teams locked on equal records come face to face. The Cowboys have looked explosive on offence with Romo on top form and his receivers endlessly open. The Eagles forte on offence has been the run, ranked top in the league. This week the Cowboys miss both starting running back DeMarco Murray and defensive end DeMarcus Ware and that will hamper their cause on both sides of the ball.
Recommended Bet: Philadelphia @ 1.75/7

New England @ NY Jets
Sunday 18:00

New England and Brady have a fearsome record against the Jets and after last week's heroic comeback the pats seem to mean business despite being without numerous key players through injury. Brady won't find it easy against the Jets D but he will find a way as he usually does against divisional rivals.
Recommended Bet: Patriots @ 1.528/15

Tampa Bay @ Atlanta
Sunday 18:00

Two of the most disappointing teams in the league with only a solitary win between them meet in the Georgia Dome. Before the season started the 'Dirty Birds' looked like contenders but injuries to a string of their top performers has proved insurmountable, especially the loss of Julius Jones for the season. Matt Ryan will have to be inventive and find new targets, Tony Gonzalez is sure to be busy. The Bucs are better than their record but have the worst passing game in the league.
Recommended Bet: Atlanta @ 1.341/3

San Diego @ Jacksonville
Sunday 18:00

Philip Rivers and the Chargers are gathering momentum and last week's win over the Colts made people wake up. The Jaguars were plucky against the Broncos but it wasn't a real contest and they still can't see the light. The Chargers will roll into Jacksonville and pick up the result that will give them a winning record.
Recommended Bet: Chargers @ 1.330/100

San Francisco @ Tennessee
Sunday 21:05

The 49ers had a pretty unconvincing start to the season but have picked up and are playing hard on both sides of the ball, they go looking for a fourth straight win. Tennessee lack a quarterback worthy of their team, Fitzpatrick is on borrowed time. The Titans main strength is against the pass so Kaepernick won't find it easy but the 49ers have alternatives, Frank Gore is rolling and the San Fran running game is relentless and powerful, they should have enough even away.
Recommended Bet: San Francisco @ 1.538/15

Baltimore @ Pittsburgh
Sunday 21:25

Gritty grudge match between two teams that have taken backward steps. The Super bowl champs are certainly yesterday's team whilst the Steelers have lost all their age-old values. Both teams are seriously struggling to establish their running game that was always their platform for success. The Steelers have the momentum after picking up the win last week and at Heinz field should be slightly fancied.
Recommended Bet: Pittsburgh @ 1.768/11

Houston @ Kansas City
Sunday 21:25

Ying and Yang. The Chiefs are in heaven after winning their first six straight, Alex Smith and Jamaal Charles are keeping the ball moving on offence whilst the snarling aggressive defence is shutting down all it faces. The Texans had such potential but are proving the disappointment of the season, their stats don't look too bad until you reach the turnover column, they has proved their undoing, the uncertainty over the QB position suggests that panic has hit in, rightly.
Recommended Bet: Kansas @ 1.392/5

Cleveland @ Green Bay
Sunday 21:25

With the injury problems at Green Bay coach Mike McCarthy is proving his worth, adapting the offence and giving Rodgers new options. There's a quiet momentum building at Lambeau. The Browns were also on a roll until a loss to the Lions last week in which Weeden was at fault, their defence will still pose a problem for anyone but away at Green Bay you need more.
Recommended Bet: Green Bay @ 1.232/9

Denver @ Indianapolis
Monday 01:30

Game of the weekend no doubt. This will be the toughest test yet for the Broncos as Peyton travels back to the Lucas Oil stadium to take on his heir Andrew Luck and the Colts. Manning won't find it easy however familiar the surroundings, the Colts have a fearsome pass defence and he will be missing two of his starting Offensive tackles. The Colts got beaten last week and Andrew Luck doesn't loose two games in a row, something gotta give.
Recommended Bet: Denver @ 1.384/11

Minnesota @ NY Giants
Tuesday 01:40

MNF and a new dawn for the Vikings as Josh Freeman will make his first start for his new employers, if he can replicate last year's form then he will be a welcome addition to a team that is still reeling from the tragedy that Adrian Peterson is having to endure. It might be a good place to start for Freeman as the Giants have been woeful so far. Eli' radar has been off all year and they remain winless.
Recommended Bet: Minnesota @ 2.6613/8
