It's week 15 of the NFL, with only three games to go in the regular season the fight for the playoff places is becoming intense...
'Chip Kelly’s Eagles are on a roll, five straight wins has shot them to the top of the NFC East but with the Bears and Cowboys still to come this week’s trip to Minnesota is pivotal to their season.'
Buffalo Bills @ Jacksonville Jaguars
Two 4-9 teams go head to head in Jacksonville. The Bills are on the ropes and last week's performance against the Buccaneers exposed all their frailties with their rushing game failing to bail them out and another off day for their rookie QB E.J Manuel. The Jags are on the up, after an abysmal eight loss start to the season they have picked up four wins in the last five and Chad Henne and Maurice Jones Drew are starting to show their quality. Home team should sneak it.
Recommended Bet: Jaguars @ 1.845/6
Chicago Bears @ Cleveland Browns
Despite the impressive performances of Josh McCown the Bears are expected to welcome back Jay Cutler to lead the team as they fight to take control of the NFC North. The recent emergence of Alshon Jeffery as a compliment to Brandon Marshall at receiver will give Cutler more weapons and the Browns are unlikely to be able to cope. Cleveland have suffered tough tight losses in their last two and despite the huge season from Josh Gordon are bound for the bottom of the AFC North.
Recommended Bet: Bears @ 1.834/5
Houston Texans @ Indianapolis Colts
Top versus bottom in the AFC South as the lowly Texans travel to Indianapolis to take on the Colts. The Texans lost eleven straight before coach Gary Kubiak lost his job, they have been miserable; Case Keenum starts this Sunday as they desperately look for some inspiration. The Colts' early season momentum seems to have waned somewhat and the loss of star receiver Reggie Wayne has hurt, although they have already wrapped up the division coach Chuck Pagano will be looking for a more impressive end to the season and won't be tempted to rest Luck and co. yet.
Recommended Bet: Colts @ 1.434/9
New England Patriots @ Miami Dolphins
AFC East showdown as the Patriots travel to Miami to try and beat the Dolphins and claim the division title. The Pats will have to do without 'The Gronk' who was ruled out for the year this week and will need to improve if they are to continue their winning streak in Miami. The Dolphins have played hard and won tough recently and with a sniff of the playoffs may need the win more than their opponents.
Recommended Bet: Dolphins @ 2.0421/20
Philadelphia Eagles @ Minnesota Vikings
Chip Kelly's Eagles a re on a roll, five straight wins has shot them to the top of the NFC East but with the Bears and Cowboys still to come this week's trip to Minnesota is pivotal to their season. LeSean McCoy leads the league in rushing yards and he will need to produce again on Sunday whilst the Vikings may be without their star back as Peterson struggles with a foot injury. The emergence of Foles as the starting quarterback has given the Eagles real belief and with McCoy in the backfield and DeSean Jackson at receiver they have an offence capable of scoring against any defence in any conditions. However the Vikings have shown a stubborn will to win their home matches recently and the Eagles will have to be at their best.
Recommended Bet: Eagles @ 1.444/9
San Francisco 49ers @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The 49ers look to book their ticket to the playoffs after a big win over the Seahawks last week, they are on a strong run and the defence looks as mean as ever. This week they travel to Tampa for what will no doubt be another tough encounter against a Bucs team that boasts four wins from five. Another impressive defensive display last week showed the Buccaneers are headed in the right direction. This game could be a showpiece of defensive fortitude but the 49ers should have enough.
Recommended Bet: 49ers @ 1.4640/85
Seattle Seahawks @ New York Giants
After that disappointing loss to San Fran last week the Seahawks will be charged up, the Giants were officially eliminated from the postseason picture last week and will have less motivation. This will be Seattle's last road game possibly of the season and expect their ferocious defence to cause Eli and co. problems. Marshawn Lynch should have more opportunities after stuttering in recent weeks and expect the 'Hawks to take it before heading home to cruise through their remaining fixtures.
Recommended Bet: Seahawks @ 1.341/3
Washington Redskins @ Atlanta Falcons
Two teams sitting at 3-10 after thoroughly disappointing campaigns. The Redskins will take the wise decision to rest RG3 for the rest of the season so he is in peak shape for the start of next year, it seems cautious to the extreme but is in the best interest of the player and the team in the long run, Kirk Cousins will receive the snap from here on out. Matt Ryan and the Falcons have fallen so far from last year's heights, they will want to put on a decent performance for their fans and show some potential for a bounce back next season.
Recommended Bet: Falcons @ 1.374/11
Kansas City Chiefs @ Oakland Raiders
After their perfect start the Chiefs fell off but got back to winning ways with a comprehensive win over the 'Skins last week, now they head to Oakland to face the Raiders, if they win they're in the playoffs. Andy Reid will be confident that his team are back on track after their wobble and they should have little trouble against an Oakland team in free fall. The Raiders looked productive in the second half against the Jets last week but the game was already up, this week they will most likely struggle without McFadden in the backfield.
Recommended Bet: Chiefs @ 1.4840/85
New York Jets @ Carolina Panthers
After their eight game winning streak the Panthers lost the big one against the Saints last week to fall behind in the race for the NFC South. They have another shot at the Saints before the end of the season but first they need to overcome a Jets team that put up 37 points last time out and still remains a possibility for the playoffs. Back in Carolina Cam Newton's offence should improve and their defence has to after being burnt by Brees. The Jets' away form has been awful and they're likely to succumb again on Sunday.
Recommended Bet: Panthers @ 1.192/11
Arizona Cardinals @ Tennessee Titans
The Cardinals are still in the hunt and face a Tennessee side that has lost four straight at home and is still suffering without it's first choice quarterback and star running back Chris Johnson continues to underperform. The Cardinals are banged up but continue to roll, their defence stands firm and the connection between Carson Palmer and key receiver Larry Fitzgerald is continuing to reap rewards.
Recommended Bet: Cardinals @ 1.75/7
Green Bay Packers @ Dallas Cowboys
The Packers head to Dallas with both teams needing the win to retain hopes of winning their divisions. Green Bay are hoping to welcome star QB Aaron Rodgers back to the field after his collarbone injury, how their season has plummeted with him on the sideline. If he does return he'll be facing the league's most porous defence. Too much pressure has been put on Romo and the offence this year, DerMarcu Ware's absence has hit hard.
Recommended Bet: Packers @ 2.89/5
New Orleans Saints @ St Louis Rams
After the big win over their divisional rivals the Panthers last week the Saints now are just one win away from the post season. Against the Rams the Saints would surely have no problem at home but on their travels Sean Peyton's men have showed little consistency. St. Louis continue to find it tough with Kellen Clemens behind center, he throws more picks than TDs.
Recommended Bet: Saints @ 1.42/5
Cincinnati Bengals @ Pittsburgh Steelers
AFC North action from Pittsburgh as the division leading Bengals head to Heinz Field. Cincy are purring, Andy Dalton keeps it ticking over and the running back combination of Ellis and Bernard are finding holes every week. They won't find it easy at night against Pittsburgh in Steeltown, despite the recent pair of close losses the Steelers are fighting, Big Ben is doing his best despite a lack of protection and his battle with the Bengals' pass rush will define the outcome of this one.
Recommended Bet: Bengals @ 1.774/5
Baltimore Ravens @ Detroit Lions
Monday Night Football comes from Ford Field, Detroit as two 7-6 teams square off. The Lions have fallen off after a strong start and have lost three from four, turnovers and fourth quarter collapses are costing them, they now face a real test to get to the playoffs but may welcome Reggie Bush back into the fold this Sunday. The Ravens have showed great resilience at home recently earning tough wins but now need to replicate that form into their road games.
Recommended Bet: Lions @ 1.412/5
