NFL Tipping Sheet: Week Eight Previews and Moneyline Picks

Michael Vick returns to lead the Eagles...

Week Eight and the divisions are starting to take shape, Reuben Thomas introduces all this week's action...

'With Michael Vick back behind center and the best rushing attack in the league the Eagles should dominate the ball. Eli to Cruz will remain the Giants main threat as they head to Philly with all their running backs nursing injuries.'

Buffalo Bills @ New Orleans Saints
Sunday 17:00

Sean Payton's Saints have won five straight and come off a bye hoping to keep the momentum up in the Superdome. With Drew Brees performing at his usual high level and an impressive pass defence they should overcome a Bills side that has looked tough but is still relying on a backup QB and a rookie head coach.
Recommended Bet: Saints @ 1.21/5

Cleveland Browns @ Kansas City Chiefs
Sunday 17:00

The Chiefs are the only unbeaten team, seven straight victories, quite the turn around from last year although their wins are becoming narrower and they only pipped the Texans by a point last week. Cleveland won't let Alex Smith air it out so Jamaal Charles should figure heavily. The Browns start new QB Jason Campbell and he is sure to struggle against this Kansas D.
Recommended Bet: Chiefs @ 1.282/7

Dallas Cowboys @ Detroit Lions
Sunday 17:00

Two 4-3 NFC teams meet for a shotgun showdown, expect Dez Bryant and Calvin Johnson to be trying to outdo each other. Stafford and Romo will both put up big numbers and this could get busy on the scoreboard. DeMarco Murray returns for the Cowboys but the key to this game could be how well Reggie Bush performs, if he can find his early season form he makes Detroit a much harder team to defend against.
Recommended Bet: Lions @ 1.645/8

Miami Dolphins @ New England Patriots
Sunday 17:00

The Pats suffered a shock loss to the Jets last week and once again Brady's offence stuttered despite the return of 'The Gronk' but it was the defence that looked most suspect. Luckily for New England they face a Dolphins team that is starting to struggle after a good start, Tannehill is failing to release and there is no rushing game to ease the pressure. Miami never get much love out of Foxborough.
Recommended Bet: Patriots @ 1.392/5

NY Giants @ Philadelphia Eagles
Sunday 17:00

The Giants finally got the monkey off their back last week by snatching their first win but head to Lincoln Field as underdogs despite the Eagles appalling home run of nine straight losses. With Michael Vick back behind center and the best rushing attack in the league the Eagles should dominate the ball. Eli to Cruz will remain the Giants main threat as they head to Philly with all their running backs nursing injuries.
Recommended Bet: Eagles @ 1.4740/85

San Francisco 49ers @ Jacksonville Jaguars
Sunday 17:00

Wembley time again and the 49ers are in for an easy ride in London, the Jags are hapless and San Fran are on a roll, they have scored over thirty points in four straight wins. Chad Henne is given the start for Jacksonville again, poor guy.
Recommended Bet: 49ers @ 1.091/11

NY Jets @ Cincinnati Bengals
Sunday 20:05

Cincy have a two game divisional lead and are looking strong but face a Jets team that got an almighty win over the Patriots last week. Andy Dalton is performing and the Bengal offence is purring, A.J. Green is still the focal point but Dalton is using other options well this season. He'll have to against a Jets line that is causing everyone issues.
Recommended Bet: Bengals @ 1.412/5

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Oakland Raiders
Sunday 20:05

After four straight losses the Steelers look dead and buried but two wins have revived their season and despite still reeling from significant injury losses they are showing a strengthened resilience, especially from the defence. With the ball Le'Veon Bell is starting to run the ball better and Antonio brown is always capable of making a big move. The Raiders have impressive recent results against Pittsburgh but QB Terrelle Pryor is starting to struggle without his first choice offensive line and top running back Derren McFadden continues to struggle with a hamstring.
Recommended Bet: Steelers @ 1.84/5

Atlanta Falcons @ Arizona Cardinals
Sunday 20:25

Atlanta travel to the desert looking to win consecutive games for the first time this season, still without many of their receiving stars Matt Ryan's job is testing but the Falcons should be able to ease the pressure on their quarterback somewhat this weekend as the rushing game should be able to perform better with the return of Stephen Jackson. Arizona had a winning record until they came up against two serious contenders in the Seahawks and the 49ers in the last two weeks, their early season confidence may be lost and Carson Palmer continually fails to inspire.
Recommended Bet: Falcons @ 2.245/4

Washington Redskins @ Denver Broncos
Sunday 20:25

Two teams that promise to entertain, as Mike Shanahan returns to Denver with his high scoring Redskins team to take on the Broncos' seemingly near perfect offence. Denver suffered their first taste of defeat last week as they succumbed to Indy and they will be eager to get back on track. Peyton should have better protection this week with a bolstered line and with two 'Skins safeties missing he shouldn't have problems finding targets, not that he ever does. RGIII will no doubt see this as an opportunity to judge himself against the Superbowl favourites at Mile High.
Recommended Bet: Broncos @ 1.171/6

Green Bay Packers @ Minnesota Vikings
Monday 00:30

This looks to be the last meeting between these two NFC North rivals at the Metrodome. The Packers go looking for their fourth straight win whilst the Vikings desperately search for a performance and any kind of consistency at Quarterback. Since beating the Steelers in London the Vikings have been woeful and the heartbroken Adrian Peterson is understandably not performing anywhere near his capability. Green Bay's squad is still riddled with injuries but they should have enough to keep the momentum going.
Recommended Bet: Packers @ 1.261/4

Seattle Seahawks @ St Louis Rams
Tuesday 00:40

Pete Carroll's Seahawks team seemingly grows stronger week by week, the defence is unrelenting and Marshawn Lynch's pounding running game continues to dominate the opposition. Russel Wilson should have a new target in Percy Harvin to aim for this week after he recovered from injury and that will add another element to the already forceful offence. Seattle are the real deal and are no longer just a home banker. The Rams season showed promise until last week when Sam Bradford went down with a torn ACL, don't expect them to recover in a hurry whoever they bring in as a replacement.
Recommended Bet: Seahawks @ 1.152/13
