For the Dolphins...

Jay Cutler is out. When a starting QB goes down with an injury, it is usually the case that the fans are beside themselves with worry and fear however you'll struggle to find a disheartened Dolphin fan in or outside of Miami.

When he came out of retirement to lead Adam Gase's offense, it was a head scratcher. His 7:5 TD/Interception ratio is not very good. On Thursday night Matt Moore will get the start and he an extremely capable backup.

Jay Ajayi just hasn't got going yet this season, having failed to rack up a 100 yard game on the ground so far. This week though, against the worst run defense in the league, which gives up an average of 145.3 yards rushing per game. The British born running back has every opportunity to clear three figures and get his first score of the 2017 season.

Ndamukong Suh and Cameron Wake are both wrecking balls in the opposition backfield. Both need to be accounted for on every play and this is a big part of the reason Miami have been more competitive than expected in the AFC East.

For the Ravens...

15 players are listed on the Ravens injury report including four wide receivers, two of which are in concussion protocol. When you throw in Jeremy Maclin and his shoulder injury, even if Joe Flacco was playing well (which he isn't), who on Earth will he be able to throw the ball to?

Being banged up is never a good thing but when it is on a short week, it is doubly painful.

When you add the fact that Baltimore only rushed for 64 yards in total on Sunday against the Vikings, I'm not sure any part of their offense can even be described as even average at the moment.

The Picks...

If you lose 44-7 to the Jags then you quite simply aren't a very good team. Add in the injury issues that Baltimore face and it's hard to understand how they are favoured on the Exchange. Take the straight up road upset at 2.427/5.

Points wise the line has been set at 37.5. For me that is pretty much on the money. If this game ended something like 20-17 Miami, I wouldn't be shocked one bit. Soft play on the over for value at 2.021/1 but this is a toss-up.

In the first touchdown market, Matt Moore threw in Jarvis Landry's direction nine times in relief on Sunday. Clearly he feels comfortable with their chemistry and he's 12/1 on the Sportsbook to get the opening six points on the board which looks excellent value.

Recommended Bets

3pt Back Miami Dolphins at 2.427/5 on the Exchange
