Denver Broncos @ New York Giants

Juicy. Every time these two brothers face off it's a spectacle and considering that they put up over 900 yards between them last week this is unlikely to disappoint.
The Broncos produced an incredible performance on the opening day by scoring 49 points on the reigning Super Bowl champions. Peyton was outstanding as he threw for seven touchdowns and no interceptions. He looks like he could light up any defence this year.
Demarius Thomas and Wes Welker both caught two TDs as did tight end Julius Thomas. Add to that Eric Decker and Denver have four outstanding targets for Peyton to choose from. The pressure that puts opposition secondary in means that there's nearly always space for the running backs for the short dump off.
It's essential then that the Giants can pressure Peyton if they are to have a chance of stopping the Broncos. The likes of Jean Pierre Paul, who is still gaining his match fitness after missing most of camp, need to come out and announce their intentions early and force the Broncos into a more conservative approach.
The Giants suffered a tough loss against divisional rivals Dallas last week and will want to bounce back at home.
Eli will have to cut out the needless interceptions this week but apart from that he looks sharp. Victor Cruz will be his favourite reciever as usual with Hakeem Nicks the other deep threat. The disadvantage Eli has is that unlike his brother he can not always trust his offensive line to give him as much protection as he needs to make the plays.
A different approach may be called for to avoid a straight shootout and coach Coughlin may try and establish a running game. Starting running back David Wilson disappointed last week turning the ball over twice but he should be given another shot to shine.
A plus for the Broncos is that they have had an extra three days to prepare after playing the curtain raiser on the opening Thursday. The news that both Decker and Welker will start will be a big boost as they were injury concerns. Welker is key, the clutch receiver has always scrambled and fought for the openings and brings a fierce winning mentality. Peyton will find him open all year.
Expect Manning Snr. to prevail in the shootout at the MetLife: The overs market is the obvious focus in this expected scorefest with over 54.5 points a tease, that's a lot of points but between these two perhaps pretty reasonable. The Broncos with the handicap of -2.5 is not off putting either.
Recommended Bets:
Back over 54.5 points @ 1.981/1
Back Welker to score the first TD @ 9.89/1
Back Denver -4.5 @ 1.9720/21
