For the Packers...

Staring a 1-2 start square in the face, the Packers woke up just in time to get the W on Sunday. Aaron Rodgers drove his team down the field to tie it up and would go on to put them in a position to win in OT. Rodgers is great but he is prone to a slow start.

In the backfield, they still have a big issue. Ty Montgomery is not going to get it done to the level needed by the Packers. 12 rushes for 35 yards with a long of eight against the Bengals is part of the reason this game was so close. The Bears haven't allowed anyone to rush for more than 67 yards through three games.

Offensively, the Packers will rely on the greatness of their QB to go along with a plethora of wide receiving options. Jordy Nelson is one of the best. Devante Adams can show up big. Randall Cobb was showing signs of hitting his stride before injury. He is listed as doubtful but has told reporters he expects to play.

For the Bears...

Pre-season nobody thought much about the Bears. Yet they've beaten Pittsburgh and should have beaten the defending NFC Champs in Week One. They aren't as bad as I think we all thought going into the season.

One issue they do clearly have is at QB. Mike Glennon simply isn't very good. The former Tampa Bay Buccaneer came over in the off season to fix Chicago's long-standing issue of poor play from this position. Through three games he's had as many picks as TDs (3) and is averaging just 205 yards per game.

For the away team to go into Lambeau and win, they'll need a big night from their running back and boy do they have a good one. Jordan Howard went for 138 yards and two scores on Sunday despite playing with a banged up shoulder. He'll split time with Tarik Cohen who himself amassed 78 yards on 12 carries in the same game. Expect a heavy dose of these two all night.

The Picks...

What is that I smell on the horizon? I think it might be a huge upset. The Packers are overrated and will always hang around in games thanks to the greatness of No.12 However their play through three weeks of the 2017 season has been sub-par.

For that reason coupled with the competitiveness of the Bears and the fact it is a rivalry game, I like Chicago straight up at a whopping 4.3100/30 on the Exchange. The opening line on the handicap is Green Bay-7.5 so you can see it is a bold pick.

Points wise, the line has been set at 45.5. I'm taking the under as I am anticipating the Bears D to stop the run all night long meaning the Packers won't be able to sustain drives. This is available at 1.9420/21 on the Exchange.

Side market wise I'm going to Betfair's #OddsOnThat where they have priced up each team to score 2+ TDs in each half at 33/1. I think the game will be tight and low scoring but that price is at least double what it should be. We saw last Thursday two below average offenses put up 80 points between them so we know NFL games can just spark. Certainly worth a quid or two in my opinion.
