The Lakers ran out easy winners when these teams met three days ago, and Dave Gray likes the odds of them to do so again tonight...

Lakers now a big three?
We all know about the Lakers big two. LeBron James and Anthony Davis carried this Los Angeles team to the title last season and they look ready to do so again. But this year they may have more support. Dennis Schroder, acquired in an offseason trade with the Thunder, has come in and hit the ground running. He is at 17.6 points per game this season and is bringing just what the team needed - another scorer.
James turned 36 two days ago but is showing no signs of slowing down. These two teams met three days ago and his 26 points and eight assists was more than enough for this Lakers team to cruise to victory.
The Spurs defence has not been good so far. They are allowing 48% shooting and it is hard to see how they can slow down this high-powered Lakers offence. And with San Antonio looking likely to be without LaMarcus Aldridge they are unlikely to be able to keep up at the other end.
Spurs lack the firewpower
For the Spurs to have a chance then DeMar Rozen is going to have to have a big night. The team will need to shoot out of their minds from three and hope that the Lakers just have an off night. Dejounte Murray's 29 points last time out will give them some hope but it is just hard to see where they can conjure up the 120+ points they are likely to need against this stingy defence.
Comfortable win for the Lakers again
This can be an entertaining game, and in this early part of the season the Lakers could still be taking things easy after the shortened offseason. But they look like they are already finding a groove and they should just be too strong for tonight's opponents.
They are seven point favourites and I really like them to cover that. Schroder can once again put up some points and ease the pressure on the big two. That isn't to say they won't get their points, but I think if the game goes as I expect, James could get an easy night as the team eases to victory. The player markets aren't yet available but I would be looking towards Schroder's total and going over when it does come out.
