LaVine breaking out
Zach LaVine is one of the breakout stars this season. He was already good, but he has taken it to a new level this season. When these two teams met a couple of weeks ago he dropped 38 and almost led the Bulls to a massive upset over the defending champions.
Offensively Chicago are excellent. They will face a tough test against the number one ranked defence in the NBA, but they have shown already they are up to the challenge. But holding them out at the other end will be the issue. They rank 28th in defence, giving up 119.3 points per game. That will not cut it against the dominant Lakers.
Lakers starting strong
Los Angeles have won 10 of their past 12 and got a big win over the Bucks last time out. They are just so good on both offence and defence and they are unlikely to let LaVine have his way as he did last time they met. Expect much tougher defence on him to reality stifle the Bulls.
LeBron James had a season high 34 points last time out as the Lakers continued their perfect run on the road. They are yet to lose this season and they will want to continue that here. Expect them to be as physical as ever and really try to bully their opposition. That is when they are at their best and they will need to be against this potent offence.
Lakers make it 9-0 on the road
The Lakers can learn from their errors that almost saw them slip up against the Bulls last time out. They will cover LaVine a lot better - and are very capable of doing so - and it is hard to see how Chicago slows them down. Nine points is a big line but take them to cover it and make it 9-0 on the road.
