Tatum retunrs

The Celtics have hit a bit of a slump, mainly due to COVID restrictions keeping Jayson Tatum and other players on the side lines. They had three games cancelled last week and lost the past two they have played. But they should get the 22-year-old All Star back tonight. He is the player this team is built around and getting him back will completely change this team. Tatum is the Celtics top scorer with 26.9 points per game this season and they also have Kemba Walker back in action after he missed the first month of the season.

When these two teams met earlier this week the Celtics led going into the fourth quarter. They shot better than Philly but just had too many turnovers. If they get Tatum back and can reduce the giveaways then they can get revenge for the loss on Wednesday.

Embiid an MVP dark horse

The 76ers have rediscovered their form with three wins from four and will be looking to make it two in a row over Boston. Joel Embiid is playing some of his best basketball right now. He has gone over 40 points in two of his past three games and is averaging 26 points and 11 rebounds. Seth Curry could also play his first game in a fortnight after missing out with a sore ankle.

The 76ers have been in great form to start the season. While they have allowed some points they are the fourth ranked defence in efficiency. This team is always going to be a good defence and if their offence can keep up this form, they are going to be the threat they have threatened to be for some time.

Take the Celtics

Last time out I think the Celtics were actually the better team. Silly mistakes cost them but they get Tatum back, Walker gets another game under his belt and they can really improve on the areas that let them down, like limiting the turnovers. The 76ers are one of the best teams in the NBA but Boston have just had their number in the playoffs over the past few seasons. Take the Celtics to upset Philly here.
