The Lakers took a game one for the first time in the playoffs and they did it with ease. They are getting better and better as the playoffs go on and have every chance to make it 2-0 here.

The Nuggets can take encouragement from game one where they actually shot very well. But they shot very well and were still never in the game so whether they are capable of keeping up with the high powered Lakers offence is a big question. It may be at the other end where they will have to win games and while they are a good defence, they aren't good enough to bottle up Los Angeles for the entire series.

LeBron James is not in a good mood right now after being overlooked for MVP, and it could be bad news for the Nuggets. He thrives when he has a bit of a chip on his shoulder and we can expect a big game from here to show voters what they are missing. Anthony Davis was excellent in game one and really dominated Nikola Jokic - no easy feat.

The Nuggets have been behind in these playoffs before, but the Lakers are on a different level to them. LeBron will be fired up and that is bad news for Denver.

Adebayo the key for Miami

Miami Heat @ Boston Celtics

The Celtics managed to bring it back to 2-1 in the series last time out, but the Heat will be looking to move within one game of the Finals with a win tomorrow night.

A much improved defensive performance was the difference for the Celtics. Holding Miami to just 39% shooting while Jaylen Brown and Jason Taytum put up 26 and 25 points respectively. They will need similar if they are going to tie up the series.

Bam Adebayo was once again superb. 27 points and 16 rebounds was not enough though with his teammates struggling throughout. Goran Dragic and Jae Crowder were 4-20 between them and that is not good enough at this stage of the season.

The Heat can bounce back quickly though and expect Adebayo to once again dominate. As long as the team around him can step it up then Miami can make it 3-1.
