Massive upset as Russian is beaten at [1.02] by minnow
Former Wimbledon champion Maria Sharapova is out of the tournament - beaten in straight sets by unheralded Russian Alla Kudryavtseva.
Sharapova was considered such a certainty to win the match that she was backed at a low of [1.02] on Betfair.
Her opponent - ranked 154 in the world - was taken at a high of [34.0] on the exchange.
Sharapova had been backed at [3.3] to take the ladies' Crown.
Serena Williams leads the market at [3.85] closely followed by Ana Ivanovic ([4.2]) and sister Venus ([4.5]).
