Defending champion Amelie Mauresmo is happy to be back at Wimbledon and believes she is one of five realistic contenders for glory this year.
The Frenchwoman finally shed her 'choker' tag last year, winning both the Australian Open and Wimbledon, coming from a set-down to beat Justine Henin at SW19.
Despite losing to the Belgian in the Eastbourne final on Saturday, the 27-year-old is full of optimism over her title defence at the All England Club, but concedes she is one of five who can win this year.
"I'm very happy to be back," said the fourth seed. "I was actually here last weekend before going to Eastbourne on the Monday.
"Everything is just coming back into the mind, the great memories of last year, of course, and the atmosphere that I like to feel here, even though it was a little empty last weekend. I enjoyed the moment and I'm still enjoying it right now.
"Tennis-wise I feel a little bit better than last year, but I still wait for this first match to happen.
"I think there four or five (players) able to get the trophy this year and I do consider myself part of these four or five players.
"I put the Williams sisters in that group. They're big servers and on the grass that is obviously very important. And having the experience of playing these big events, winning many of them.
"Justine is unbeatable for the last three or four weeks. Let's hope she's not for the next couple."
French Open winner and top seed Henin currently heads the outright winner's market at 3.5, ahead of Serena Williams (seeded 7), who powered to the Australian Open title as an unseeded player in January.
However, the two market leaders are scheduled to meet in the quarter-finals so it may pay to look elsewhere.
Second seed Maria Sharapova, who won the title in 2004, is third favourite in the market at 7.6, while Mauresmo is currently available at 8.6. These two are drawn to meet in the semi-finals and it is worth noting Mauresmo holds a 3-1 advantage in head-to-heads, including a win in their only meeting on grass at this venue at the same stage last year.
Third seed Jelena Jankovic, who was won four titles this year, is trading at 14.5, alongside three-time Wimbledon champion Venus Williams, who is seeded 23 this time around.
