"Venus is not 100% fit and is struggling killer instinct. If the pressure doesn’t get her young Slovakian opponent, we could witness the biggest upset of the tournament so far."

Ben Caudell is backing a big upset in the women's tournament today while in the men's our man alights on an old favourite...

Magdalena Rybarikova (SVK) v Venus Williams (USA)

The women's event at this years US Open has so far been more exciting to watch than the men's event. There have been some cracking matches over the last four days and yesterday two top seeded players, Jelana Jankovic and Elena Dementieva, were knocked out by Yaroslava Shvedova and Melanie Oudin respectively. Elsewhere, Dinara Safina is struggling to hold serve and Venus Williams has looked shaky.

All eyes will be on Venus today as she takes top billing as one of the night matches. Her opponent, 21 year-old Magdalena Rybarikova from Slovakia is no pushover, ranked within the top 50 and currently 8-2 in matches on hard courts.

At the New Haven Premier event she won five matches in a row, defeating the likes of Edina Gallovits, Francesca Schiavone and Marion Bartoli. In June this year the Slovakian won her first WTA tour event, the Birmingham International. This year she has also defeated Caroline Wozniacki, Flavia Pennetta, and Kateryna Bondarenko on hard courts, proving that she can mix it with the best. This means that tonight's match shouldn't be as easy as some people think for Venus.

The fact that Venus is not 100% fit and has so far struggled to find her killer instinct and if the pressure of being centre stage and in the backyard of home girl Williams doesn't get to the young Slovakian, we could witness the biggest upset so far at this year's US Open.......

Selection: Back Magdalena Rybarikova @ 7.0 to win match (small bet)
Back Over 20.5 Games @ 2.4

Nicolas Almagro (ESP) v Robby Ginepri (USA)

There doesn't seem to be much value around for today's men's second round matches. I have therefore gone for a match that is evenly priced and for a player who used to be a favourite of mine, Nicolas Almagro.

Clay court specialist Almagro has always had the talent but has lacked the execution when playing higher ranked players. Seeded 32 at this year's US Open, the Spaniard will be playing local favourite Robby Ginepri for the third time in his career having won on clay and lost on hard.

Ginepri had his moment when winning the Indianapolis Open back in July but has since lost twice to Marat Safin and once to Benjamin Becker. If Almagro serves well and doesn't get frustrated as he can do sometimes, I can see this match being very close with the possibility of a couple of tie-break sets being played.

Selection: Back Tie break played? - Yes @ 1.8
Back Nicolas Almagro @ 2.06
