Andy Murray looks like being fit and ready for Wimbledon later this month as his ongoing wrist injury has shown signs of improvement.
The 20-year-old Scot and British number one has only played two full games since the Miami Masters Series event in March, having picked up the injury during his game against Filippo Volandri in the first round of the Hamburg Masters on May 15.
He has recently been forced to withdraw from the French Open and the Artois Championships, but he enjoyed a solid training session on Friday and is feeling a lot better.
.
Therefore, the world number nine is hopeful of featuring at SW19 when the tournament gets underway on June 25, but he maintains that he will not play if he thinks it has not completely healed.
He told the Sun: "I'm serving at full power and also hitting my backhand with full power.
He added: "I'm still a bit careful with my forehand as I put more pressure on the wrist when I hit the ball.
"Friday was a really good day. I got in a solid 90-minute training session on the courts.
"The wrist feels much better, even compared to the start of the week.
"Now, I'll base myself at Wimbledon for the next week and will play there every day."
Murray is available at 50 to go on and win Wimbledon with Roger Federer 1.49 favourite to retain his crown.
