Tim Henman is preparing for Wimbledon by playing at this week's Nottingham Open and he insists it will not be his final fling at SW19.
It has been a disappointing year for Britain's 32-year-old number two, who has won just one game and slipped 24 places to 78 in the world rankings following a straight sets first-round French Open defeat to unknown Latvian Ernests Gulbis.
That failure was then followed by an embarrassing first-round exit against 18-year-old wildcard Marin Cilic in the Artois Championships at Queen's last week.
Henman has now secured a wildcard to play in the Nottingham Open which affords him a final opportunity to try and get his game back on track before Wimbledon gets underway next Monday, June 25. Whatever happens however, Henman has confirmed that this will not be a farewell appearance at the All England Club.
He told LBC News: "No, definitely not. I only have to talk about it when you guys ask me about it.
"It is not something I think about - I appreciate I'm nearer the end than the beginning but I'd like to think there is still a lot of good tennis in me yet."
Henman, trading at 500 to win Wimbledon, will face wildcard Michael Russell at the Nottingham Open. The British number two is trading at 1.46 to win the first round match with Russell on offer at 3.1.
