World number one Justine Henin took just 59 minutes to beat Marion Bartoli 6-1 6-3 and reach the final of the Eastbourne International.
The Belgian top seed braved the breezy conditions to brush past her 22-year-old French opponent, seeded eight and ranked 20th in the world, in a one-sided encounter.
In-form Henin will face Wimbledon champion Amelie Mauresmo in the final of the competition and is the overwhelming 1.28 favourite on Betfair's "Henin v Mauresmo Match Odds" market.
Four-times French Open champion Henin felt she was feeling good about herself ahead of Wimbledon and admitted she was looking forward to her final showdown with Mauresmo.
Henin said: "I'm feeling a great deal more belief in myself on grass. It was a good decision to come to Eastbourne. It is good experience and I've had a lot of fun as well.
"I must still learn to trust myself more on this surface. There was one time in the match against Marion. I lost my intensity for a few games but I had a very good reaction and won four games in a row."
Mauresmo, who made it through to the final after her last-four opponent, third seed Nadia Petrova of Russia, retired injured, said she was looking forward to testing herself against Henin.
Mauresmo, available to back at 4.5, said: "I'm pleased to be through to my first Eastbourne final and it is going to be a tight match.
"It is a chance to play the best player on the tour and see where I am."
