Marat Safin is through to the third round of the Artois Championships after seeing off Sebastien Grosjean at Queen's Club.

The Russian was locked at 4-4 with the Frenchman in the deciding set, but managed to miss the showers to seal a 3-6 6-4 6-4 victory on Thursday.

Safin revealed afterwards: "I decided to go with a lot of power (on my serve) and things went my way - there were no mistakes.
"Hopefully I can keep it going throughout the tournament, but I can't always dominate like this."

The eighth seed has now set up a third-round tie against Croatian Ivo Karlovic - the pair have only met once before and Safin was victorious in Cincinnati three years ago.

The former Australian Open champion has never won an event on grass, which is reflected in the 32 on offer for him to win the Artois event.
Safin, who's best performance at SW19 was reaching the quarter finals in 2001, is trading at 290 to win Wimbledon next month.
