Novak Djokovic is hoping his relaxed attitude will help him make more progress at the French Open.
The Serb overcame Spain's Fernando Verdasco 6-3 6-3 7-6 (7-1) to reach the last eight at Roland Garros for the second successive year and will now face world number 125 Igor Andreev.
Djokovic feels he has yet to hit the ground running but is still trading as the 1.67 favourite on Betfair's Match Odds market, with Andreev, the lowest-ranked player to reach the quarter-finals in Paris since 1999, available at 2.44.
"I'm really happy with the way I played because I didn't play very well at all in the first three rounds," said Djokovic.
"I haven't come here with the goal of winning the tournament. I am going step by step.
"I just look at the next opponent and I know that the results will come sooner or later."
The 20-year-old, seeded six, is in line to face defending champion and hot favourite Rafael Nadal in the semi-finals.
Djokovic, the 2007 Miami Masters winner, can be backed at 9 on Betfair's developing To Reach The Final market, while he is the 3.1 favourite in the Winner w/o Nadal & (Roger) Federer market.
