Betfair punters' confidence in Bayern Munich's Bundesliga title chances are expected to grow following yet another summer signing.
The Bavarian giants recruitment drive has continued as former star Ze Roberto has rejoined the club after one season in Brazil.
The 32-year-old spent four seasons at the Allianz Arena after four years at rivals Bayer Leverkusen, before moving to Brazilian outfit Santos following last year's World Cup.
However, boss Ottmar Hitzfeld has re-signed the Brazil international midfielder as he looks to rebuild the squad following last season's woeful Bundesliga campaign.
Bayern failed to secure Champions League football after finishing fourth in the German top flight and have responded by bringing in a host of new faces for the 2007-2008 campaign.
Luca Toni, Franck Ribery, Marcell Jansen, Jose Ernesto Sosa, Jan Schlaudraff and Hamit Altintop have all been signed up and Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge was delighted to have secured the services of their former player for the challenge of regaining their status as Germany's number one side.
He said: "We're delighted that a player as technically gifted, quick and hard-working as Ze Roberto is coming back to the club."
Bayern are the 1.7 favourites to top the Bundesliga table in the forthcoming campaign, as they seek a 21st league title. Werder Bremen are next best at 7 in the outright winner's market, with Schalke available at 11.5 and defending champions Stuttgart are trading at 12.5.
