X Factor Week 6 Tips - Lauren Murray vulnerable

With a crowd-pleasing song-choice this week, Reggie N Bollie might become likely winners
With a crowd-pleasing song-choice this week, Reggie N Bollie might become likely winners

In "Song Week", or something like that, Jack Houghton thinks Lauren Murray is most likely to go, and that Reggie N Bollie might be about to announce themselves as likely show winners...

"Reggie N Bollie, unsurprisingly, will perform a mash-up for their second song: a crowd-pleasing combo of I Gotta Feeling and I Like to Move It..."

What Happened Last Week?

4th Impact - incredibly polished and professional during the auditions - had not really progressed on the live shows, and it was no surprise to see them in the sing-off, especially as their first song was a bit cringe-worthy, and their second unmemorable. They can go on to massive success in the Asian pop scene, and won't lose any sleep having now been voted off.

Lauren Murray had her worst week to date and, as the decision was taken to deadlock, was lucky to survive. Whilst her sing-off effort was strong, her first song of the weekend was appalling, and her rendition of You Don't Own Me just a bit weird. She will need to rediscover the heights she reached in Week Two to be in with a chance of making the final.

Who Are The Likely Winners?

Louisa Johnson remains the most likely winner, but is still poor value at 4/11. True, she is the contestant most likely to go on to a successful career, but she is not the certainty those odds imply. She is likely to attract a similar type of voter as Lauren Murray and Che Chesterman, which can make her vulnerable to an exit before reaching the last two.

I'm still kicking myself that I didn't follow my hunch prior to Week One and back Reggie N Bollie at 66/1, but even at 11/2 they might now be the value. I'll be adding them to the portfolio: after all, only them and Louisa Johnson are yet to be in a sing-off.

What Will Happen This Week?

This is "Songs-to-get-me-to-the-final Week" which, as themes go, is about as strong as if they'd gone with "Songs Week". Reggie N Bollie, unsurprisingly, will perform a mash-up for their second song: a crowd-pleasing combo of I Gotta Feeling and I Like to Move It. It might not demonstrate huge versatility, but should make them a shoo-in to make the final.

Who's For The Chop?

It's likely that Lauren Murray and Che Chesterman will be in the sing-off this weekend, and Lauren looks value to go at 5/6.
