Misha Bryan
"Misha Bryan’s exit means Boro lass Amelia Lily is the only remaining contestant in the Girls category despite being eliminated by Kelly Rowland in week one."
There were no surprises on tonight's results show as elimination favourite Misha Bryan finally exited the competition.
Misha Bryan, despite arguably being one of the strongest performers on Saturday night and throughout the competition as a whole, has tonight been eliminated from this year's X Factor competition.
The young solo artist had suffered from negative media attention ever since the live shows began, and ultimately that would be her downfall.
Bryan was generally available to back at around the [2.0] mark in the 13th Elimination market, though those odds collapsed to [1.32] on Saturday night, thanks largely to Gary Barlow controversially (and tactically) bringing previous claims of bullying back into the public's attention.
The results is also a bit of an 'egg on your face' moment for Bryan's mentor Kelly Rowland. Bryan's exit means Boro lass Amelia Lily is the only remaining contestant in the Girls category despite being eliminated by Rowland in week one.
Three acts now remain in a position to take this year's crown, with girl band Little Mix (Rhythmix) heading the Winner market at [2.2], just ahead of Marcus Collins ([3.5]) and Lily ([3.6]).
You can read my full review tomorrow when I will be, rightly or wrongly, saying some harsh words on this year's X Factor competition.
