Kitty Brucknell is out of the X Factor
"Kitty Brucknell's exit means Louis Walsh has become the first mentor to lose all his acts."
Kitty Brucknell is the latest act to be eliminated from this year's X Factor, losing out in a sing-off to Misha Bryan...
Kitty Brucknell has tonight become the 10th contestant to be eliminated from this year's X Factor competition.
The quirky extrovert - who was matched at a high of [3.75] in the 10th Elimination market - arguably gave her worst performance of the series on Saturday night and looked a tad dejected during her rendition of the Queen hit Don't Stop Me Now.
That was enough for her odds to shrink to a low of just [1.54], and punters who backed her will have had few worries once it was announced she would be in a sing-off with Misha Bryan.
Mentor Louis Walsh understandably saved his own act (Brucknell) but the other three mentors - Gary Barlow, Kelly Rowland, and Tulisa Contostavlos - all decided to save Bryan. Brucknell's exit means Walsh has become the first mentor to lose all his acts.
After Frankie Cocozza's exit last Tuesday, 16-year-old Amelia Lily - previously eliminated in week one - returned to the competition on Saturday night after polling 48% of a public vote. She then went on to perform an excellent rendition of Queen's The Show Must Go On, prompting Betfair layers to offer no more than [4.5] about the Middlesbrough lass in the Winner market.
Marcus Collins remains the slender [4.4] favourite to win the competition, just ahead of Lily, Janet Devlin [5.5], Craig Colton [5.6], Little Mix (Rhythmix) [8.6] and Bryan [14.0] in what looks a wide open contest.
