Michael Vaughan is backing Tulisa's band The Risk to win and expects Louis Walsh to be first judge eliminated
"A group has got to win it eventually and they have all the ingredients: the image, the looks and they can sing a bit."
Not content with providing exclusive insight and tips on England cricket, Michael Vaughan is turning his betting eye on to the X-Factor for Betfair - and he is backing The Risk to emerge victorious...
Michael has watched X-Factor and Britain's Got Talent for around five years now and reckons he knows how to spot a winner.
The Betfair ambassador and Test Match Special commentator has got his money on Tulisa's manufactured boyband The Risk to win this year's contest.
"Janet and Misha are good contenders but it's The Risk for me," said Vaughan. "A group has got to win it eventually and they have all the ingredients: the image, the looks and they can sing a bit."
The Risk - who impressed the judges when covering Plan B's 'She Said' two weekends ago - are currently favourites on the exchange, trading at [3.5].
Vaughan's other picks - Janet Devlin and Misha B - can be backed at [3.6] and [6.2] respectively.
Looking at the next elimination market, Vaughan believes there is some value in backing either Frankie Cocozza at [6.8] or Marcus Collins at a relatively chunky [10.5].
"You've either got to be brilliant or entertaining and these lads don't tick either box," he said. "Johnny (Robinson) will stick around because it's a soap opera and he is has amusement value."
Vaughan can't see past Louis Walsh in the First Mentor Eliminated market - and nor can the Betfair market, with the Irishman trading at [1.44] to go.
