A fearsome kitty: coming to a stage near you
"Frankie looks whopping value at [3.8] to be in the bottom two again this week."
During The X Factor last year, betting.betfair tipster Jack Houghton turned a starting bank of £1,000 into a whopping £1,900. Two years previously he returned a 17-point profit to anyone following his recommended bets. A brace of profitable years in hand, get involved as he goes for number three.
Monsieur Betfair Ambassador, with these tips, you are really spoiling us.
You see Vaughanie - or should that be Your Excellency - it's all very well tipping up The Risk at [3.5] to win The X Factor, but you're a bit late to the party, and not even fashionably so, because followers of this column have already filled their gobs with fistfuls of Ferrero Risqué at [22.0]. That's why you should stick to punting on the trivial frivolity of international test cricket, whilst bettor minds concentrate on the urgent and vital business of X Factor. Know your limits Vaughanie.
On the subject limits, there seems no way to curb the lunacy of Kitty Brucknell. Not content with having already secured the title of most-crazed X Factor contestant of all time, she wants to leave no doubt as to the extent of her insanity, by giving a performance that, "no other contestant could dream of giving." To Kitty, this apparently means surrounding herself with animals. She reportedly told her mentor, Louis: "Snakes, lions, tigers, bears, whatever you can find, I'm not scared."
You might not be Kitty. But hey, why stop there? If it's danger you want, why not perform with a vile of the Ebola virus dangling around your neck whilst you kiss a copy of The Satanic Verses? I'm sure show producers - who have dramatically switched this week's theme from Heroes to Rock - would be happy to oblige. Provided Health and Safety can be silenced, of course.
In other news, Kitty (who, I've noticed, has started referring to herself in the third person in interviews: a clear sign of madness) has apparently been warming up for her upcoming danger-fest by scrapping with Johnny Robinson. Elsewhere, Craig has come out and said he is gay and proud of it, after ditched boy-band Nu Vibe reportedly referred to Craig and Marcus as "bum boys" in an interview. If their idea of a new vibe is resurrecting the moral code of the 1950s, then they are, at least, living up to their name.
The most surprising X Factor headline of the week, though, has to be the online gossip portal that led with: "Johnny wants Bush." Now I would have assumed Johnny to be terrified by the very idea of it, but a more detailed reading reveals that he wants to duet with Kate Bush, and nothing more.
Right, to the tipping-mobile. Not content with simply delivering the verdict of his prescient genius week-on-week, today Jack Houghton is going to reveal some of the analysis behind his predictions. That's right folks, these aren't just the random pronouncements of a crazed mind - there is math to back it up, as Kelly might say.
And the math says that Frankie Cocozza is vulnerable again. As well as being a terrible singer, he has to contend with the statistic that of all the X Factor contestants who have found themselves in the bottom two and survived, 35 per cent have been in the sing-off again the following week, with 77 per cent in the same position within two weeks. There have been some notable exceptions, with the likes of Katie Waissel and Ruth Lorenzo recovering from slow starts to survive a few weeks, but without any discernible talent that I can see, Frankie looks whopping value at [3.8] to be in the bottom two again this week.

First time I've read your blog so I read some more and I have to say you are one arrogant dude and I won't read anymore. Your picks have been rubbish and part from Risk and you only went for them cos you think a group has to win sometime. Boring
