ITV's 60th anniversary celebrations continue with a live episode of Coronation Street tonight (Wednesday) and our traders make it 4/7 that the show will bring in over 8.5m viewers, just one of a number of betting markets available...

• 4/7 for live episode to hit over 8.5 million viewers
• 20/1 for an actor to call another actor by their real name

There are a number of special Sportsbook markets in place for the live episode, including where the final scene will take place, the amount of characters to cry and whether an actor will be called by their real name.

Novelties Trader at Betfair, Cormac Dowling, said: "The Platt family are right in the thick of the plot in time for Wednesday as they continue to resist blackmail from Callum Logan, so of all the indoor scenes their house is even money favourite to be the stage for the final scene of the live episode."

Emotions will be sky-high and the question won't be 'if' a character will cry but rather 'how many', Dowling added.

"We make it 2/1 that two people will cry but if punters think it will be an absolute sob-fest they can get 16/1 for seven or more characters to turn on the waterworks," he said.

"Live TV can throw up all sorts of surprises, as we saw for EastEnders' live episode earlier this year and we make it 20/1 that any actor calls another actor by the real name during the episode.

"If we're truly honest with ourselves, all good evenings end in a kebab shop and we make it 50/1 for the final scene to wrap things up in Prima Doner."
