I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here: Joey Essex proving that nice guys can win sometimes

Essex is taking over in Australia

The eliminations are coming thick and fast with two 'stars' set to leave tonight, but we're just killing time until Joey Essex is crowned king of the jungle says IACGMOOH expert Claire Taylor

"Joey still entertains every time they show his face, and nobody can beat his innocence. He is a genuinely friendly, albeit stupid, nice guy, and this time the nice guy cannot lose."

Back Joey Essex to win @ 1.715/7

From 12 to ten, the 13th series of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here is now well underway and down to the elimination stage. First to leave the camp was Annabel Giles, followed last night by a surprise eviction for Laila Morse. The campmates were as astounded as I was when Ant and Dec announced her name, did people assume she was safe?

In tonight's show we are going to be seeing a double eviction, so tread carefully with your selections. We shall focus on the third elimination, and leading the way at a tasty 2.427/5 we have Alfonso Ribeiro. The American actor has spent the past week or so pining for his family and begging to be booted. The disappointment on his face these past two nights have been there for all to see, and in all fairness I think tonight he will be granted his wish.

Up there fighting him for unpopularity will be jungle disaster Matthew Wright (3.65). I don't think I have read a positive comment about him, he seems to irritate the majority of viewers and his days are numbered also. Lucy Pargeter could be worth a play at 5.95/1, producers didn't have to edit much of her antics out for her to be shown up as a domineering, outspoken, green-eyed monster.

Viewers appear to have taken Amy Willerton under their wing. She was granted immunity from eviction on Sunday, as voted for by the public, and is now in to 1.9310/11 to be crowned the top female. She has been the victim of a few jealous comments, the majority of the camp appears to have turned on her, so she takes the sympathy vote for the bullying card in her stride.

Rebecca Adlington (34.033/1) has had a good few days, and seems to be 'finding herself' deep down in the jungle. I expect her to stay for a little while yet. David Emmanuel (38.037/1) has grown in popularity, too. However, I still cannot see him staying much longer, or securing a top three finish.

Vincent Simone (110.0109/1) has gone quiet lately, if we see the return of his smile perhaps he will secure more votes. Steve Davis (26.025/1) is growing on me, and a definite chance of a top three.

But this year's series has been all about Joey Essex (1.715/7). I still don't see anybody taking the crown off his head. Joey won the show on day one, and although Kian Egan (3.3512/5) would also make a worthy winner, he cannot take the limelight from the TOWIE star. He still entertains every time they show his face, and nobody can beat his innocence. He is a genuinely friendly, albeit stupid, nice guy, and this time the nice guy cannot lose.
