It's elimination time again in Dancing on Ice and Simon Hopper is backing an old favourite to go once more

This week's Dancing On Ice elimination looks a straight shoot-out between the two oldest contestants left on the show, Charlene Tilton and Rosemary Conley.

Charlene is the Betfair favourite to be frozen out on Sunday but I think the better value lies with fitness guru Rosemary. And no, that's not just sour grapes because I tipped her to go last week.

Rosemary was immune from eviction last Sunday because she won her duel against Andy Whyment, though she was lucky that the Coronation Street star put in his worst performance to date in their head to head. This week there will be no such niceties and Rosemary will be back in the firing line.

She only managed scores of 12.5 in her qualifier and 10.5 in week three - no one left in the competition scored lower than that on either occasion. In fact based on average scores to date, Rosemary is the worst remaining skater by a full 1.5 points. Of course being the lowest scorer isn't everything, but that fact she's the lowest scorer and hasn't been in the bottom two is very interesting.

People who haven't been in the skate-off are much more vulnerable as the public assume they are safe; the last two celebrities booted off (Mark Rhodes and Corey Feldman) both weren't in the bottom two the week before.

Charlene is clearly a better skater and her appearance in the bottom two last week is a bit misleading as she was only up against five other celebrities, most of whom are very popular. At the prices I'd rather be on the inferior Rosemary at odds of around [4.0].

The rest of the skaters look safe for this week but I wouldn't put anyone throwing a few pennies at Whyment (around [17.0]), whose comedy value is starting to run a bit thin, and Chemmy Alcott (around [21.0]), who is by no means flawless and is unlikely to have a big fan base.

Recommended Bets
Rosemary Conley @ [4.0]
