The Corrie man might have avoided the exit last week but this time his luck is set to run out, says Simon Hopper...

I was wide of the mark tipping Andy Whyment to be eliminated last weekend but the Coronation Street funny man should finally be frozen out this Sunday.

First of all, we must note that it is team weekend, and it's girls against boys. First the celebs skate with their individual partners, then they join their groups for the 'Team Challenge' at the end. The judges pick who their favourite team was and whoever gets the majority vote will have their individual scores doubled.

The team element will be very close - based on average scores there's only 0.4 of a point between the girls and boys - so picking a winner is almost impossible. Therefore, it's better to judge the skaters on their individual merits rather than speculate who might take the Team Challenge.

And on skating ability there's only one celeb who you can turn to. Andy Whyment was quite considerably the worst of the bunch last weekend - he scored 2.5 points lower than anyone else - but that's not unusual. Andy's downfall could prove to be his perceived arrogance and negativity towards the judges last weekend. Louie, Robin and Katarina said they didn't feel any emotion from him and Andy's reaction smacked of disdain and petulance. When you are relying on public goodwill to keep you in the competition, that's not a good look.

I expect Andy to trade at around the [2.38] mark and if the boys lose the Team Challenge then that price will be top value.

If the girls lose then Chemmy Alcott (at around [3.0]) is the obvious choice. She's the second weakest skater in the competition and doesn't have the support base of her nearest rival, Jennifer Ellison, while Chico should see a spike in votes this week after being a surprise skate-off contestant last time out. Jorgie Porter and Matthew Wolfenden are both too good to consider for elimination at this stage.
