After her disastrous speech at the Tory Party conference, Theresa May is now [3.3] to leave 10 Downing Street this year and the [1.34] favourite to be the next party leader to leave her position.

With May likely to go, Betfair customers are busy speculating on her replacement.

Boris Johnson remains the leading contender to take over the Conservative Party leadership and punters continue to nibble at his his odds, which currently stand at [5.4].

Lead Brexit negotiator David Davis is the next in the betting, and he can be backed at [7.0] with Jacob Rees-Mogg [9.6] and Amber Rudd [9.4] the only other candidates in single figures.

"With reports that a number of Tory party members are starting a movement to persuade her to stand aside, her odds of reaching the end of the year as leader have shortened."
