Building, busting and eating chicken

Yesterday I played in Event#56 of the World Series of Poker but unfortunately busted out on the very last hand before the dinner break meaning I am now sitting here eating fried chicken wings and soured cream, which is just brilliant.
The tournament started really well because as you would expect the $1,500's are usually quite soft. In this event there were lots of people playing just because they were bored along with holiday people, tourist people whatever so it was no surprise to start on a nice, soft table.
I managed to get some chips going nice and early because people like to fold in these, so that was nice but I had a little misstep that cost me quite a few chips. One of the older people limped in and a young guy raised to isolate him and because I know he's raising him for no real reason I thought why not re-raise him. Then the big blind, who had kept trying to bluff me for no reason, went all in. Both of the other players folded but because I was getting more than 2:1 I called with my eight-six offsuit only to see the big blind turn over aces.
So I lost a load of chips there, which was a little bit annoying but I managed to build them back up thanks to being paid off with some good hands and my bad table image. Again I had a nice little stack going until the last hand before the dinner break. A new guy moved to the table and he had like 70,000 chips and with binds at 100/200 it is ridiculous how many chips he has. The first hand he plays he raised to 450 and I assume he's just being aggressive but I have no idea really. This other kid calls on the button and because it is only 250 more chips I call in the big blind with Ah5h. The flop comes down T87 with two hearts and I check, original raiser checks, the button bets 1,200, I call and the original raiser folds. The turn is a blank ace, so I now have top pair and the nut flush draw, I check, the button bets 3,400 which is relatively big and I went all in for around 13,000. He thinks a little and eventually makes the call with QhJh, so I am in pretty good shape, that is until an offsuit nine came on the river and that's that.
That was the last WSOP side event before the Main Event so my plan is to watch a good friend of mine who plays on Betfair Poker a lot, Harald, who is down to the last 16 in the $1,000 event so I'm going to go and watch him for a bit. Hopefully he'll make it to the final table and then win it, which would be really cool (see this link - Ed). I'm also thinking of playing a few tournaments at the Wynn in the next couple of days. They have a really easy $200 rebuy so I'll probably go play that, play some cash games and try make some money. The idea is to leave Vegas positive this time!
I'll try and update before the Main Event starts and obviously during. Until then, goodbye!
