I have just got home from day 1 of the Seniors Tour Championship at The Buckinghamshire after a pretty decent day of golf. I shot 68 and which puts me one off the lead. John Chillas and Adan Sowa both shot 67...

It hasn't been a great year for me - I am about 9th on the order of merit and I really should be much higher. It's would be great to win in this one!!!!

Well done to Justin Rose - fantastic to win the Order of Merit and the Volvo Masters. He really is a world class player and he has proved it all year. He's got the best chance by far of any British player of winning a major and Luke Donald and Paul Casey are great players.

I'll play some poker tonight. Betfair have put me into the $20k guaranteed tournament. It's not often I get a chance to take the time for tournaments but it is a nice way to relax. Hopefully I will make that elusive big win tonight!

Poker hasn't been going all that well recently - got up to a nice figure over the weekend then lost quite a bit. I will keep you posted.
