They think it's all over...

...it is now! I've finally managed to make it to the 10,000 hand mark at $0.02/$0.04 and feel like hanging myself! Jesus it was stressful and something I would not like to repeat.
I know people say if you can't beat the bad players then how on Earth will you beat the ones who know what they are doing but the nano-stakes are so utterly frustrating it is not even remotely funny.
Something else that was not funny was my win-rate which was a paltry 4.60bb/100 which is pitiful to say the least but I think a lot of this is down to me deciding to play 8 tables over the past couple of days in order to reach the 10k barrier and the fact that I seemed to run like death when it came to big hands.
I had AdAh cracked by As5s all-in preflop when the board ran out 4c5cJc5hJs which was fun and a couple of hands later I ended up all-in with tens on a 9dKh9hTd board only to find out a guy running at 79/10/3 had flopped a bigger boat with KK.
Anyone who moans the nano and micro-stakes are not beatable are just bad players. Yes there is a ton of variance and yes you will have your big hands cracked by some strange rivered two-pair but as a whole the entire player pool is so shockingly bad. Most are loose-passive but there are also some really nitty players who obviously sit waiting for AA-QQ and then shove all-in but there are also a lot of players who think they can play a LAG style but fail miserably.
So what next? Well as previously planned I should be moving up to $0.05/$0.10 and playing another 10k hands but unfortunately I am not bankrolled for it. I estimated I would have a much higher win-rate, something close to 15bb/100 which affected my bankroll obviously but I also lost a decent percentage venturing into the crazy world of PLO!
I finished my 10k hands around 2230 last night so decided to celebrate by playing some PLO cash. I looked down the lobby and there was a $0.05/$0.10, yes I know I was nowhere near rolled for it, with an average pot size of over $7! I jumped in and within five hands I was dealt AAKQ double-suited and after a ton of raising ended up all-in preflop against a guy sat with a six buy-in stack. He shows KK56 and flops a set of kings and I can't re-suck out. I then get it all-in with an open-ended straight flush draw and miss three million outs to get stacked again. I love the game but it can be so infuriating sometimes!
That knocked my bankroll back to the levels before I started the challenge so I have some grinding to do before I can make it to NL10. I really don't want to play NL4 but I might have to as I am barely rolled for anything else. FML as they say. Whatever I decide I will let you know but I will be doing 10k hands of NL10 once I have 20BI for it.
As always, thanks for reading and best of luck at the tables!
***UPDATE*** I'm going to stick with NL4 until I have 20BI for NL10. Whilst it's hard to motivate myself at these stakes, my motivation will be to get out of the nano-stakes and into the micros! I reckon it'll take 30k hands so guess what I'll be doing all August?
