Poker Blog round-up: Poker Grump, Twitter Poker, Rubbish and Jonny Vincent
Pud's Poker Progress / Matthew Pitt / 11 April 2009 / 4
As you would expect, it has been pandemonium in the Pudding household this week, with the arrival of Baby Pud on Monday morning throwing our normal routines straight out of the window. BTW, what is this sleep I hear people talk about?
I usually spend an hour or two per day going around the blogs but I've simply not had that amount of time available and when I haven't being doing my best Mary Poppins impression so Mrs P can have a well deserved rest, all I've wanted to do is curl up in a ball and look at the back of my eyelids! However, being the martyr that I am, I have managed to soldier on and choose some blogs that I think you might be interested in!
The first blog to pay a visit to is that of Poker Grump, who writes for the blog with a subtitle reading, "All the things I hate about the game I love." He recently wrote 529 words about a McDonalds in Las Vegas!
Whilst this might not tickle most people's fancy, I must admit I was quite impressed with the decor and the post made me think about Sausage McMuffin's so much, I had to buy a double one on Wednesday morning! If you can get past the huge font he uses on his blog, the rest of his entries are well written and deserve a read.
Nick Cantwell, otherwise known as Cloud, has started more blogs than I have poker challenges but I sincerely hope his latest project, Twitter Poker, makes it past June! Cloudy's sense of humour often gets me in stitches and his post on April 6, entitled "Lights in the Sky!" was no different. Something about the way he writes makes me smile, there again I love sarcasm and silly humour in abundance!
Rubbish at poker is a comment the haters normally leave on my poker articles but there is also a blogger who goes by the same name. Rubbish has graced these pages before and makes a return for having a former work colleague who is either retarded or has a brilliant sense of humour! If you are part of the tl;dr brigade, scroll down to the last paragraph for what I think is pure gold!
Finally, I love people who can tell a great story, those who make you feel like you're there and those who can add humour into a piece of writing without actually forcing it to be there. I can't actually remember how I found the blog of Jonny Vincent but I am glad I did and I am going to make a start on reading his older posts after stumbling across his post entitled "It Is Written." I just think the entire post is brilliantly written and made me want to read from start, shame the "retard" didn't think my comment was worthy of publishing. Oh well!
I'll leave it there for now as yet another matchstick has just snapped under the strain of my heavy eyelids and my mum and sister are coming to be broody over the new little one! Take care everyone, catch you all next week!

Hiya, glad you enjoy my crack ramblings on my blog. I have this Kismet spam killer thing which makes Hitler look like a hippie. I don't really know how some comments get through at all, to be honest - but the alternative was 80,000 spam comments deleted, as Nazi Kismet plugin likes to inform me every day.

Thanks for the comments!
Jonny - No problem and LOL at Hitler being a hippy reference!
