This week's blog round up contains a trip report, a singing Annette Obrestad, the thoughts of an MTT pro, some serious grinding of SnG and pooing behind a bush next the motorway! Let's get started!

When I first started winning at poker, one of the things I wanted to do was travel the world and play the biggest tournaments available. Unfortunately, that has yet to happen but one blogger who has travelled to poker events is NHGGFU, who recently flew to Denmark for a European Poker Tour festival.

Whilst I enjoyed his views on the tournament and Gus Hansen's boxing match, it was the the fact he saw Betfair's very own Annette Obrestad playing Singstar! He reports, "While I was playing cash with the Danes, Annette_15 waked in with her manager Per and Annette played some Singstar with my Danish colleague. Somehow Annette won versus my colleague who reckons that she is excellent at Singstar."

One player who is no stranger to the biggest tournaments on the net and indeed live, is none other than Alexander Fitzgerald, known in online circles as 'Assassinato.' His most recent post entitled "Chewing Tinfoil" gives an insight into thoughts on MTTs. I highly recommend anyone reads his entire blog as he writes so well and from the heart. It is difficult to imagine this is the blog of someone just 21 years of age.

Another blog that is always thought provoking is the blog named "Plan3t Gong." I've been a reader for as long as I have blogged, although I've not commented as much as I should. Mark, who also writes the very funny poker satire site, "Melted Felt" wrote another good piece on poker knowledge vs poker discipline. I think this paragraph sums up a lot of online player's discipline, "Discipline is where it all falls apart, most people assume bankroll management is something rather dull which does not apply to them... table selection means clicking the very first available seat and that moving up levels is a great way to recover from a bad beat. To my mind the poker economy is fueled by players with adequate knowledge - but terrible discipline"

Someone with great discipline, and obviously too much time on his hands is Boku87 who is currently taking part in one of the craziest prop bets I have seen in a long time. Top and bottom of it is he is trying to take $100 to $10,000 in 15 days by playing SnG up to, but no higher than, the $16 buy-ins! He's well on course as far as I understand and at one point he was playing 51 tables simultaneously! WTF!!

Finally, a bit of humour for you after the thought provoking posts and mega grindage! Rossi has made an appearance on these pages in the past and he returns again after blogging about being caught seriously short on his way home! He goes on to say, "I squatted there for a moment in the cold crisp air of the night hoping that a passing traffic police car didnt pull up. Luckily i had a handkercheif with me and I hadnt splashed any of my clothes, although i stung my hand/arse and leg on what ever plant life i had disturbed." The post reminded me of a similar incident I was part of, which is now in the comments section!

That's all for now, if you know of anyone who wants or deserves some airtime, leave a comment or drop me an email.
