I cannot believe it is Friday once again, time is flying by so quickly it is not funny. I actually thought this week would drag, especially as I seem to be awake for 20 hour spells of late but no, I was wrong. Whilst much of my time has been spent placing matchsticks under my eyelids, I have actually read a few blogs this week, here is a selection of some of them.
First up is the blog of Mary Martin, known to her friends as Mair. I know Mair from the Raise The River forum and we have had a couple of barneys on there but have swept that aside now! Mair's best poker achievement was becoming the first woman APAT Champion but now she's looking for success away from the felt. She recently went back into full-time employment and I am made up for her that it is going well as I know she has suffered some confidence issues etc in the past and deserved a bit of luck. Keep checking in as she writes from the heart and is always willing to chat about anything.
A fellow Scot who updates his blog on a regular basis is Little Acorn Man. Hailing from Glasgow, Acorn rapes and pillages SnG's on various sites and can lay claim to having a star on his Sharkscope profile, or at least he did have one at one point. Anyway, it seems he has been running bad recently and this continued into his life away from the tables when he managed to run over, and kill, a fox on his way home! Obviously, killing the fox isn't funny but I loved his next post where he donates to a fox charity to ease his guilt. Life Gods (amen) have hit him with a £600 excess on his car insurance to make up for the death of Basil, hopefully the Poker Gods (amen) will let him run like the wind to pay his bill!
Ben Holmes left a comment on my blog a few weeks ago and I've been reading his blog ever since. He recently asked if it is ever correct to fold KK preflop and says he has done it twice in his career and although slated by his mates for it, he stands by his decision. It's quite an interesting debate and one that is far too vast for this entry, maybe coming in an article soon?
One man who has probably never folded KK in his life is Ben Grundy, aka Milkybarkid. Saying that, Ben has probably never folded 73o either as the guy is mental! It one of the best feelings in the world to check your pockets after a night out, to finds a crumpled tenner in the corner but imagine if you thought you'd lost €10k, yes ten thousand Euros, only to find you'd left it laying around in your hotel room for anyone to find! Balla obviously!
Finally, the last entry for the week, named The Vortex of Hate, nice! The owner of this blog used to occassionally write about poker but now seems to have gone down the route of comedy, even if he hasn't meant to. Anyone who has ever worked in an office environment for an extended period of time really needs to read this entry and also part 2. Absolute quality if you ask me!
Well that is all for now. Time to log off and get some breakfast. Cereal or sausage and mushroom sarnie? I know what I should have but the healthy option is never the nicest is it? Take care all and thanks for reading.

Hi Mate,
Thanks for the baby insight, I love my sleep so am dreading that aspect. Im especially bad at poker when tired so it could also prove to be a costly affair on all fronts, great blog by the way
