I've had a massively unproductive week this week and I honestly don't know where the time has gone. Whenever I have sat down to do anything I have ended up either getting distracted by something or having to run some sort of errand that has lasted longer than I expected. However, I have managed to find some blogs and sites for this week's blog round-up.
Last Saturday a few members of Raise The River descended on the Dusk Till Dawn poker club in Nottingham. Mrs P and I were planning on going but a few things cropped up late on and we simply couldn't afford to go. There are quite a few trip reports floating around on the net but the most in depth one is from Rubbish. I've always like Rubbish's blog and he would have been one of the first people I'd have shaken hands with and had a beer with if I had gone to the meet-up as he seems like a funny, genuine guy. Check out the rest of his blog when you have time.
Dungbeetle keeps a blog entitled Magical Mystery Poker Tour which I recently found and have enjoyed thoroughly. Whilst his recent post, "The Shackles of Zion", isn't really about poker, I did find it quite funny and the last two paragraphs are golden, hilarious without trying to be! Whilst you're there, check his links and click on the My First Dictionary one for another genius site. A little bit non-PC, OK a lot non-PC but funny as hell anyway!
One blog I found by clicking through a ton of links was that of Shipshape715 who writes on Shipshape715's Poker Rollercoaster. He wrote an entry on July 26 where he had decided to make himself some green chilli burgers and ended up with chilli and pepper oil on his "old man!" Whilst funny for the reader, I suspect he wasn't impressed although I did learn how to sooth burning tackle should I ever be as unfortunate as Shipshape715!
The following site is not a blog and has very little to do with poker but I think it needs some pimping as there are some hilarious entries on there. It seems the in thing to end any negative experience with FML. If you don't know what it stands for then a quick Google search should educate you. Anyway, someone had the great idea to make a Twitter-esque site where people could send in their FML stories. Some are obviously made up but some I think are legit and had me literally laughing out loud.
Well that's all we have time for this week, as always, thanks for reading and have a great weekend!
