Welcome back faithful readers, once again the weekend is upon us which means it is time for the weekly blog round-up. There's actually some poker content this week (shock-horror) so lets get cracking and delve right in.
First out of Pud's bag of tricks is the blog of Dave "Bruce" Lea with an entry called "Never show your shows!!" I've been trying to find some blogs that are not only new to you but also new to me and this is one I discovered after clicking a million and one links!
The reason it stuck out to me is that it reminded me of the first time I ever played in a home game. I met a bloke, now a good friend, who I had chatted to on the internet at a railway station, he drove me to his house where I was greeted by a 6'8" tall black man and a cat with no tail. I kid you not! Anyway, check out Dave's post which is both entertaining and full of poker. A result in my book.
Another new blog on my to watch list is that of Hoopie1 called "In The Land Of The Blind." He doesn't appear to update his blog very often but when he does his entries seems to be witty and to the point and I especially like the cliffnotes to his post entitled "Cheese." Well worth a read and check out his blogroll too for some very good blogs indeed.
Sometimes you stumble across a blog where the owner writes one or two words and calls it an entry but on the flip side you get people who seem to write mammoth sized entries every time they log on. Dublin Belly Busters falls into the second category but unlike some lengthy posts that can become boring very quickly, these entries are written excellently and go into a lot of detail about everything. I've not singled out a specific post here but there is a great write up about a recent tournament in Barcelona that you may want to check out. If you have a few spare days that is!
Last, but certainly not least, is the blog of I Had Outs. When I read the entry "Mary had a little stack" I don't know why but I assumed the author was a bloke but it turns out that the blog has two contributors and they are both women! Regardless of gender, the trip report about the Borgata Open is a good read and involves one of the things I never seem to get, a lucky seat.
Well folks, that brings us to the end of this week's round-up. I hope you enjoyed and will come back next week. As always, thanks for reading, good luck at the tables and have a great weekend.
